How low for shoulder press?

Any benifit of going really low on the shoulder press? Like hands all way down to chin level/just above the shoulder. I think that would work out more muscles/stabilizers the same way going as low as possible on squats does.

Yeah only going down to ear level isn't gonna give you the full effect. barbell presses are really great. Helps your delts and upper pecs. It really makes you feel like a man doing the military shoulder press with a bar.

With a barbell till the ears, otherwise it hurts the rotator cuff apparently.

I meant by bringing it to the point where the bar almost rests on your back/chest (whichever way you're doing it, i hate the behind the back version, hurts like a mofo) without actually resting it.

I feel its even more difficult than stopping halfway, and to me, it's like comparing a full squat to a || squat...granted, it's not nearly as big of a movement
