how long till i start gaining weight

Hey guys,

i started going to the gym almost a month ago, I have lowered my body fat from 16% down to 11%. But my weight itself hasnt really changed. I look more cut, should i just up the weight amount i am lifting?
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

So you've lowered your body fat and you're suprised that you havn't gained any weight? I think this is where common sense kicks in. :kick:

If you want to gain weight; lift big, eat big, and rest big. Focus on large compound movements. Read the many guides on this forum.

the moment you pick something up and eat it, is when you gain weight...until you sh*t it out.

to gain weight, you must eat more. lifting heavier weights may stimulate more appetite, but w/o a plan for eating more, you will probably still weigh the same a month from now, or six months from now.

I completely agree with what was said above. The only way to gain weight is to eat more calories and protein than you consume every day. If you're losing bodyfat, it's because you're eating less than you're burning.

Just remember, you can't gain serious weight AND be ripped at the same time. If you're gaining weight the odds are that you'll lose some of your definition, even if you're gaining strength and size.

At the peak of my training a couple of years ago my arms were 3" bigger than they are now, and I was eating 8 times per day to maintain it. I'm currently eating 4-6 times per day (including one protein shake of 30 g whey protein) and in the past month since I've started training again I've gained 5 lbs and 1/2 inch on each arm. AND IM A HARD HARD HARD GAINING SKINNY MOFO RIGHT NOW

Without the diet change, I'd never gain an ounce.

Damn, well i upped my meals around 6 times a day, i also try to eat 4 fruits a day, no matter what it is.

how about like a snickers bar or anything....that wont help right? i mean it has **** loads of calories or am i aiming for nutrion + calories.

if you want to log & then post your current eating habits, lots of guys here will be happy to rip it apa-- err, dissect it.

but the short version is, eat everything in sight. especially protein, protein, protein. but in your case, anything with calories will do.
