Nah, don't just tell them straight out but hint at it, talk about sexual things if they fit into the convo, it's a game, so what do you do with games? Just play around and have fun with it, humans are sexual, you are sexual, so just go along with whatever pops into your head, stop repressing your feelings, it's all about how you express the sexual feelings, it's never a good idea to straight up tell someone "you are hot, i want you" you gotta have fun with it! what's the fun with saying something like that?

People may have different ways but the only time I pretty directly tell a girl that I'm interested in her is when it's obvious to me that she's very much into me (she doesn't even have to say anything to me, it's just her reactions/body language/whatever else). Before that though, thinking back on my experiences... I usually don't tell her with words but one thing I do is I smile a lot, so that gives girls the hint... (and no I'm not talkin bout bigass cheesy smiles, so don't go doin that!)
