How do you know if a woman is cheating without proof?

I'll give you an example of why this occurred to me.
My friend's girlfriend, I've always had a gut feeling that she's not as good a woman as she appears in public.

A year ago, a guy contacted her, and it seems she's emotionally distanced herself, so it's been tough for a few months. The arguments keep coming, and she wanted to end the relationship, but she never saw this guy or slept with him.

Now, however, she's back to normal, but when I'm around her, I still have this strange feeling.

We basically have no evidence of cheating, and this got me thinking.
Can any of you tell if a woman is cheating without actually seeing evidence of it?
Maybe you can tell just by her behavior, but how can you be 100% sure?

For example, if she were to cheat with some guy, she would have feelings for those guys she was cheating with, which means the relationship would be turbulent and would continue to argue, just like it did when she was dating that guy.

Which means that if a woman is in a relationship and gives us the feeling that she's cheating with someone, but she's emotionally secure in the relationship, then it's probably just a misguided feeling and she's not cheating. On the other hand, if she does or doesn't give us those feelings, but is pissed off and wants to end the relationship, in that case it's because when she cheats, the woman inevitably detaches herself emotionally.
So she'll argue about anything.

Why are you concerning yourself with this?

A woman may cheat, and the man may never know...
A woman may cheat and not reveal it until the breakup...
A woman may not cheat but say she cheated to hurt her man...
A woman may not cheat, but everyone thinks she did...

What would satisfy your definition of being "100% sure"? Because the only person who REALLY knows is that person.

None of it really matters. I'd say to trust your gut instinct, but you're not even the one in the situation and wouldn't have the full picture. YOU are not in a relationship with this woman, so you have no idea what she's like behind closed doors.

Perhaps a better question is ; what are the signals that a woman checked out?

And nature being the mother that she is, she will be ruthless in her display. A woman who is checked out will show this in a thousand different ways. No or shorter replies, less warmth, less sex, no kisses, ect.

My experience, and by my experience I mean PERSONAL experiences, is that as a man you can feel and see the damocles' sword hanging above your head held by a silk thin thread. But all the investments are at stake, and more importantly your EGO. I bet your friends won't leave either way. My "assessment " would go something like this:

She met a dude, had a full blown ltr that went through all the stages. Eventually they broke it up and boom, she is back acting like nothing happened. And she proofs she can afford it...she can literally date another man while keeping your friend on the leash ,and active him as a backup option whenever she feels like it.

Your friend doesn't wanna hear this, and even if you'd tell him he won't leave. You personally however, can lear this life lesson and understand that IF a woman acts up ot time to leave. Period.
