Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I have been having this problem for a long while. I tend to develop feelings too soon and being emotionally attached to the girl. Once that happens then there is a shift of power. It doesn’t matter if you tell her or not you tend to act on these emotions.

I’ve tried seeing other girls but end up getting attached to them as well lol. And at the end of the day I revert back to my old oneitis. It’s hard to bump in to her without feeling like crap of something back them went wrong or wanting some more action. I should be moving on and letting go but I need ways to solve this. I know this is a human thing but I would like to find a way to just de-sensitise myself from this.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Oh ya am having the same problem. What I came up with are:

1) Immerse yourself in your work/play/fun whatever. Set aside only say 15-20 min for this girl per day/week whatever. Don't see too much of her.

2) NEVER ever talk too long on msn, aim etc.

3) Always have a backup. This I learnt the hardway.

Anti-Dump and Rollo and others were right all the way. Have lotsa plates.

I have the same problem. Any help appreciated guys.

Hmm i wish i could just have so much fun with my girl without being emotionally attached. Even though Im spinning other plates I still fall into that trap.

I've slept with 3 gals and made out with 30 otheres but still hung up. I've got 3 jobs at the moment but still my mind wanders over girls.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
