"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Hey- I really like you but I don't want to lead you on. This week my ex kinda came back in the picture. We decided to work things out.
So, I'm sorry. You're a really cool guy but we can't talk anymore.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

I have gotten that exact text from multiple women in the past. Read this very carefully. NOTHING that you write back will get her to stick around and jump into your arms. The BEST possible move you can do is not to respond. Delete her number, and move on. No response, being indifferent, is the ultimate move you can do. DO NOT respond. Sorry but with the ex in the picture you don't stand a chance, and quite frankly is a complete waste of your time. She will always choose him over you because they have history.

If a guy you had just met and hung out with as friends texted you, explaining he had stuff going on in his life wouldn't be able to hang out again... how would you respond?

"No worries all good"

Something like that, right? But because she has a vagina, alarm bells are going off you're in DEFCON 3 and you made a thread on the internet about it yes?

Doing this via text is a lot more telling than what was typed. She has nothing invested in you and/or has no respect for you. Now if she took the time to call you or meet you in person, then that would be different. You can wish her the best and thank her for her candor.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Nothing you can do short of secretly murdering her ex or getting him to find a new girl and forget about her will save you with this girl

Don't even bother to respond, you don't ever wanna hear from her again, if you do respond respond as if you legitimately don't even care
