How do I increase my social status?

There is no fast way, but a relatively easy thing to do is to fill a need or contribute to the community in some visible way. For instance, spearheading a recreation or clean up project, volunteering at a charity or similar cause - somebody here mentioned an animal welfare center- , preparing food for the homeless, etc. Just make sure that whatever you do, it is something that puts you in regular contact with the types of people with whom you want to have a standing.

If you think that your project could expand and benefit other areas (most can), you can even upload videos about events and progress on youtube, etc., which should garner more popularity and allow you to make calls for action.

Like I could pay homeless people to fight each other, film it then have them arrested and post it on you tube for a fee per watch?

I'll give you an idea ...

I knew of a guy who started a meetup group for young adults 21-33 who were new to the city or didn't know it well to do activities like picnics, local concerts, etc. together. Most of the stuff he chose was either free or not expensive. Within 4 months, that guy was drowning in contacts, a good portion were cute women.
