polite version: however big you are happy with is fine, if you like what you see in the mirror you are golden - be happy with yourself and people will be happy with you

impolite version: (censored before I blow a gasket re buck sixty guys who are afraid of getting 'too big' - like it's easy to do - while people who genuinely wanna get freakishly big and strong are sweating blood to gain even a lb of mass or another 2.5lb PR)

From 150 to 240? Well, either he used steroids, and his nuts atrophied to the size of raisins... or he gained 90lbs of fat and his penis looks tiny next to his humongous belly.

Anyways, WBA is right (as usual), SHUT THE F--K UP AND TRAIN. There's maybe 5% of the male population who even trains hard enough and well enough to even get into the "big" category, let alone the "too big" category.

if you have trouble fitting your shoulders through average-sized door frames, you should probably cut your lifting back to just a few days a week and eat fewer eggs.

I'm the same height of you, am 20 years old, and currently barely crack 180. Of course I started at 150. I can lose a little bit of fat here, and there, but honestly I would like to be a solid 185, with a little less body fat than I have now.

I wouldn't be opposed however of bulking up to 200.

At the moment I would be happy gaining a few pounds. I would be even happier being able to lift without getting sick.

I wash my hands when I'm done at the gym, and have a hot bath when I'm done... I dont know whether its the reason or not, but I haven't been sick in about 2 years.

I understand the worry about getting too big. Everytime I look say a "Muscle and Fitness" it almost makes me not want to work out. Everybody in their ads is grossly too big. But I don't think you have to worry a whole lot.

I don't think you're going to be skinny today, the next day, the day after that, and the day after that, and then one day wake up looking like Ronnie Coleman. It can't be that hard avoiding getting "too big". That's like working your way out of debt at minimum wage and worrying about how you're going to deal with all the pressures of becoming a billionaire. slow down there, slappy.

Depends on the person. Some people have wide shoulders and a naturally broad frame, some don't. I look like a holocaust victim @ 160 and 5' 9, but lots of other people look fine there.

Anyone at 5'9 and 160 looks skinny at best. Sure, that's more or less what is considered "fine," but it's still skinny... stupid society making it ok for women to be fat and for guys to be skinnier than their girlfriends.

You see I would be inclined to agree. But the problem must be getting worse. I'm 5 9" ish and was mid 150's for my last year of school yet most people were taller and at least a stone lighter. I suppose people will put weight on from 16-18 though. And I didn't REALLY look skinny, although my frame probably just wasn't quite as large, I know the ribcage is one of the last things to fully develop as well as shoulder width which would give the illusion of someone being heavier if they had more weight on a not fully developed skeloton.

Of course it depends what you consider skinny. I think skinny is some guy at 130/140 and I know plenty of people in this range. As I say though perhpas it is because they are 16/17 and haven't fully developed yet. Probably most adults are around 160ish unless they are overweight.

Too big is when you look in the mirror and think youre too big. People look different even though theyre the same weight. Some people just cant get their legs to grow and some people grow legs like weeds. Do you think these two people look the same at 180 lbs?

Everyone can grow legs. The problem is that many, if not most, people are too stupid to actually work legs--and work legs properly. They want the "looks" muscles, bi's, chest. Too bad working legs--which makes them grow--releases the most growth hormone and test, making the rest of your body grow like mad.

That can be a very fit thin, not necessarily skinny. Being in the 5'7-5'9 range and being under 145 is what I'd called actually "skinny". The only measure I have is seeing fighters weights/heights in the UFC, but there are some really git guys in the 160 range, guys with bodies many girls would find more attractive than bodybuilders. Sure it's about as thin as any guy should ever want to be, but calling it the equivalent of a fat chick is retarded, as is saying it's "new" for guys to be skinny.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.
