She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.
You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.
The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.
The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.
Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
Agreed.Bible_Belt said:Words mean nothing. Never give a woman's words more than a few seconds of thought. Actions are all that matter.
So she's like, "Ok", smiles, darts off and walks away, and goes home.
Case closed - her walking off is all that mattered. The words she used are just childish foolishness and don't mean anything.
Realsmoothie, the main reason I told her, "I'll talk to you in a bit, let me dance to this song" was because I wanted to play aloof a little, and keep her guessing a bit, since she pulled that "So, do you wanna f*ck me" line on me. Makes perfect sense to me to play it up the way I did. Her interest level was questionable, so that was the best course of action. I think any guy here would've resorted to it.realsmoothie said:Jesus, this is the weirdest thread on this board I've ever read.
Here's this guy, who has this supposedly super hot chick just tossing herself at him, and his best plans are
a) laugh at her and get in some mind-game until she leaves
b) go dance by himself until she leaves.
LO frickin' L
And it's not like it's even "all push and no pull". He doesn't even NEED to pull.
When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.
Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.
Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.
The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
I agree with BibleBelt. That's why I said in the very beginning of this thread that I lean more towards the side that she wasn't interested.Colossus said:Agreed.
Edger, you've claimed your game is "98% there", but this is weak. First of all, "why arent you dancing?" is not really a cold approach, IMO; it's just annoying. Women will dance to anything with a discernable beat after a couple of drinks.
Second, when you did make a move to dance with her she goes away---that's your cue to forget about it.
Third, you're over-eager, plain and simple. Better to err on the side of less rather than too much.
Edger - you have been reading " DJ for Dummies" again ?edger said:Realsmoothie, the main reason I told her, "I'll talk to you in a bit, let me dance to this song" was because I wanted to play aloof a little, and keep her guessing a bit, since she pulled that "So, do you wanna f*ck me" line on me. Second, WOW, I played around with her jokingly and made fun of her while she was dancing. It's called FLIRTING. "Playfully flirting". It was obvious I was playfully kidding around with her. I made it obvious I was kidding. This chick just happens to have no sense of humor, or is too socially inept to know I was kidding. I've joked even more extreme with many other chix, and they never got offended or wallked off on me, or stopped calling me, and I also slept with them too. In all honesty, this is the only woman that I can remember that has ever taken my playfulness personally.
If you think this was bad, then tell me, what would've been YOUR best solution?
The place is relatively big: 2 levels. Both levels have a bar and a dance floor.Crow said:How big is this place?
Hah, I don't reveal such things around here..I'd rather keep my idenity personal..especially with all the wackos here. If I told you the exact places I hang out, all I'd need is for someone from this board(who lives in the NYC area)to show up..and possibly figure out it's me, based on the description I've given of myself here..lol. Last thing I need is for people to know what I look like. Who knows, it seems I'm loved by some around here, who knows if they might be my next career opportunity or my future girlfriends brother/cousin/father, etc., and decide to disqualify me(in the case of employment)or talk negatively about me(to the girl I'm interested in, or am with) because they love me so much...lol. You never know with the internet, we live in a small world...that's why I advise everyone keeps themselves anonymous. Hah, maybe I'm being too paranioid aout people figuring out who I am, but it's true, you never know, and I don't wanna take that risk. I'm sure many of you here feel the same.Crow said:C'mon, which place was this?
You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
?? What other girls have I posted about besides this one and the hot one from Canada who got annoyed and literally walked away with a puss on her face because I refused to buy a drink for her, after she insisted I buy her one.jophil28 said:I just do not understand why you make these posts. Invariably you 'lose the girl' or hit a brick wall and then you lament the outcome on SS.
The reason I find this particular encounter so funny is that she was coming right at you directly, and you went into some kind of "game" mentality. You didn't NEED to do all that crap. It wasn't that she "had no sense of humour" or was "socially inept", she was going PAST all that crap and straight - pretty much - to wanting to f*ck you.edger said:Realsmoothie, the main reason I told her, "I'll talk to you in a bit, let me dance to this song" was because I wanted to play aloof a little, and keep her guessing a bit, since she pulled that "So, do you wanna f*ck me" line on me. Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.
Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers. Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.
I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.
Like Biblebelt and Colossus, and I myself had also thought; her walking off after I responded to her "So, you wanna f*ck me?" question, showed her true interest level in me. That's my opinion on it. The first thing that went through my mind when she did that was, "If this chick was really interestetd in me, she wouldn't have walked off like that without a number exchange...realsmoothie said:The reason I find this particular encounter so funny is that she was coming right at you directly, and you went into some kind of "game" mentality. "Do you wanna f*ck me" is NOT QUESTIONABLE interest level, in my opinion. Like someone else said, you let your ego get in the way. I'm guessing that said "f*ck me" comment made it sound like she was in charge, and you subconsciously wanted to be in charge so you tried to change the frame.
If it was me, and the girl was really that hot, I'd roll with her version of affairs for a little while. I mean, geez, she did all the dirty work for you, and you stuffed it back in her face.
