"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Well there is this one girl in my chem class. She is pretty shy and seems to get flustered easily but I have been talking to her for the last couple of weeks. She is also in my chem lab as well. 2 weeks ago in lab she leaned forward to see somthing better and her shoulder was against my chest.

Last weeks lab we were at a table and she was lightly tapping her foot against mine. I don't know if that means anything or not. Last wensday after class I asked her what she was doing on friday she said she had to work. I had to work sat and sun so I couldn't suggest another day. Well tomorrow I'm thinking about asking her again.

If she says she has to work friday then I don't know what I'm going to do becuase I work sat and sunday again. Plus its kind of weird to ask 2 weeks in a row. Any advice? Should I wait till next week? Also should I ask if she is busy friday or should I flat out ask if she wants to do something together?

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Talk to her in class, and kino her. Ask her email and her number. After class when you get home, call her up, ask her if she wants to study together tonight. If she says not tonight, tell her you don't know when you'll be awailable again - in which case you'll call her next night or couple night down the road and tell her you have time now.

Come to her place, study, talk, kino. Then watch a movie, cuddle, make out.

Who cares. Tell her you want to study with her, at her place.
Unless you want to become her "study buddy", don't do this. Come right out and ask her out!

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Ok well I was in class today and before class started we were talking, conversation was going good, I was being c+f. She mentioned how she was glad she didn't have to work today. I kept that info in the back of my mind. At the end of class we walk together than it goes like this

me: Hey since your not working tonight, do you want to do something together?
her: (smiles) what do you mean?
me: maybe we could go to the bowling alley and you could kick my ass in a game
her: do you mean like a date?
me: .....well yeah
her: ive got a boyfriend
me: (stunned) thats ok im not the jelous type, kidding
me: so does he go to this school
her: (pause) no he doesn't go to school right now
me: ok thats cool

then we walk to the parking lot together, still talking. she seems like shes happy about somthing

do you guys think the bf is bs? In the two months in class together she has never mentioned anything about it.

oh well at least I got that out of the way. That was the only potential in all my classes. I guess I'm going to have to cold approach around campus

best advice you'll get on this:

IF YOU HAD MORE GIRLS THAT YOU WERE TALKING TO, YOU WOULDNT CARE SO MUCH ABOUT ONE WHO HAS A BF

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
