Are you dumb or something? his girlfriend comes and tells him that she wants to go to the prom with another guy and she gives the excuse 'im doing it as a favor and we are just really friends,' he might as well end the relationship with her right there. No girlfriend who is loyal would even consider this out of fear of having the relationship ended and the big jealousy it would cause. She is obviously not loyal and will probably end up dumping you sooner or later.

think about it, what do you think she would say if you told her you want to go to the prom with another girl? just like any other girl she would probably freak out!

My advice for you is to start looking for another girlfriend but don't end it with this one just yet. This is like an old car that still goes but you look in the paper everyday for a new one to replace it soon. Look for another gf and when you find one dump the current one you have for betraying you.
