Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

I so did not see a wink.

I loved how I caught you changing the color of check mate from red to orange.

I CAUGHT YOU EDITING!!

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

1- I have A friend who is 21. And a couple who are 23-25, and quite a few my age, and some who are OLDER. Get over it.

2- SO the fck what.

3- It is a better story than the ones not being contributed thus far, and it does have to do with the topic.

You must be sad noone is arguing with you in your other threads.

Check mate.

My S/O read some stuff on here when I set the laptop down and walked off to go get something. She asked what the site was and I told her. Then I told her to stop messing with the laptop when I'm logged in.

She got defensive because she "wasn't doing anything wrong" according to her.
I told her I don't touch the computer when she's logged into her account and not to touch the laptop when I'm logged into my account.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

He probably deleted his accounts, seeing as he revealed his secret to us!:D

Either that, or your detective skills blow, Batman.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I am all across the board. I am attracted to men, not colors.

However, DJ looks permanently high, lol. Not my type, but he is kind of cute. :)

I don't believe that for a second.

You have preferences, of course. Nothing wrong with that!

There's always going to be a certain feature or certain tone or a certain way a guy's mouth is shaped that will make you go.. "uhhhnn".

Don't lie!

I like full lips. I like nice toned bodies, though I have dated men a little flabby, and very skinny. I do like tall guys I admit, though I have dated from 5'8 to 6'5 (crazy I know since I am like 5'0!), I think Joaquin Phoenix is the SH!T, and have thought so way before he was an Oscar contender, I also think Hadyen Christianson (?), the hot doc from LOST, Peter from Heroes, Suresh from Heroes, and Vince from Entourage are all 10's in my book. I used to have a major crush on Blair Underwood, but I am over it now. OH, I have been in love with Keifer Sutherland since Lost Boys in 85, when I was like... 5. Haha.

The one thing that can almost always win me over is sharp wit. Works like a charm. NOT goofy wit! Mysterious, sharp wit...

Two of the guys I was craziest about in the past year were NOT lookers, lol. But the wit... amazing.

I AM across the board. My friends can't figure it out. :D

EDIT: What an AW post, lol. ^^^

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

"Daven runs into his secret SSlair to destroy all his property that will undisclose his true identity..

only to find his arch enemies Iq and TM ravishing through the dungeon cave and find his oversized clown mask, cross colors tshirt, tightly fit jordache jeans, and special made Pumas that as been hiding his identity since '03 when patrolling the streets of SS.

Iq whose identity was revealed as "Six" from Blossom runs quiickly to the SSlair entrance with the costume props of Davenjuan to expose the truth to the world, when TM, whose secret identity also was revealed previously as "Chunk" from Goonies turns on his former partner and punches her in her oversized nose, then politely returns the fashionably challenged costume back to Davenjuan to keep is identity sacred allowing him to still protect the city of SS"

permanently high!? i do look a bit "chinked" when i drink. :moon:

TM all the females are in to the "brothas" :D

i hope since we took the time to check out the profile we "befriended" me ??

by the way.. the only sister i have on my profile is my twin bros wife.

Since when Joaquin Phoenix' body (and for that matter's "Vince" from Entourage) is considered to be "tone"? Far from it.

By the way...you suffer from the same thing that a lot of very young women suffer...the "hot actors" and "hot celebrities" syndrome.

Actually, I was just giving examples of what I like. I could list guys off the street just as easily, but that wouldn't paint any pictures, now would it. One would have to name "well knowns" as those are common reference points. I also think Anderson Cooper is hot, but I recently found out he was gay. Broke my heart!!!

Some of the actors I listed are not considered all that hot. Before Joaquin made it big, when I'd say he was the hottest man in showbizland, I'd get "ewwww's". ;)

And I know he is not "the toniest". Right after I said I liked toned bodies, I think I also said... well go read it.

I DON'T like beefcakes. I PREFER a little flab to that. I'm not into men who think their bodies are some sort of trophy, instead of a tool... ;)

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
