Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
All she says is true, and people should be aware these circumstances happen and might be in store for them.
Exactly. It’s some honest advice for both women and men.I don't see her as a harridan as such. To me, that's just an older woman dispensing some sobering advice and guidance. Admittedly, it's a bleak picture she paints but, to be fair, what she describes isn't that unusual.
Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
She is a harridan. She never married and had no children. She mentioned that in the video. That was somewhat uncommon in her age bracket, as I'm guessing she's about 60-70.I don't see her as a harridan as such.
I do not know this woman's history, but there's wisdom in what she states in the video. If you have children but you paid too much attention to money instead of them, there's decent chance they will put you into nursing home or some institution.
You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.
And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.
Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.
The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
Be the captain of the ship, and have a staff or passengers to share the journey with.Do your best to be as healthy, wealthy and independent as you can. You can invite others to walk a part of your life together but in the end you are in this alone and no matter how many friends or family you have, you will most likely die without them being around
She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
I guess it's a lot harder for women since a man at that age could easily get a caretaker wife ... or maybe the Golden Girls will still be hypergamic at that stage of life?I do not know this woman's history, but there's wisdom in what she states in the video. If you have children but you paid too much attention to money instead of them, there's decent chance they will put you into nursing home or some institution.
However, if you don't have children, rest assured that your extended family members will be interested in putting you into nursing home if you are well off and unable to take care of yourself.
Being old and alone is not a funny part of life.
Actually, a lot of older women (around 60-65) still have sexual needs and any guy up for satisfying them may have "rotation" as a lot of older guys loose interest in sex or their long-term female partner very often. If it's about women older than that - they obviously still enjoy male company but probably not to the caretaker level (I think at 70+ both females and males still prefer to date non-disabled/rather healthy partners and due to various reasons - including fear of death - they may be prone to quickly leaving any new partner which succumbs to sickness or may succumb to it in a mid-to-short time period, they will also leave partners with signs of dementia as it scares them off - it is probably not ghosting but efficient loosing ties before worst part happen). Gold diggers don't care about terminal sickness (actually they are counting on it) therefore guys with financial assets will always have a choice.I guess it's a lot harder for women since a man at that age could easily get a caretaker wife ... or maybe the Golden Girls will still be hypergamic at that stage of life?![]()
This point could be an entire discussion. Most old couples I see appear to just be sleepwalking through life and getting on each other’s nerves. I don’t see much desire or affection. Hardly something to be fearful of.
Not possible, but You can live with that structure in mind and fear nothing or no one.Probably not possible in the Western World
