Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Ok, heres my deal, one of my female friends (who i used to like but now have no interest in) is having a halloween party on saturday, where her new bf will be, she still thinks I have one-itis for her.

So heres my question, should I bring a date to her party to show her that I am over her? I know it would make her jelous if I was with another girl (because she told me, of course she has also told me I am the perfect guy for her and we never hooked up). What do you guys think, I cant not go to the party cause I told her I would be there, although I seriously thought about telling her I couldn't come, but I never brake a promise, so I have to go.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Bring a date and don't focus on the girl that thinks you still have "oneitis" for her too much.

Yeah, I would've recommended trying to find another party. Who says you can't flake out though?

But if you are going, and you say you are over her. Then why are you asking us if you should bring a date? It shouldn't matter, but apparently you still do have feelings for her.

I suppose you already know this, but you aren't the perfect guy for her. You're her perfect-guy friend.

If the party is designed to be a couples type of party, then yeah I'ld bring a date. If it's going to be like a huge college atmosphere type of party, then I wouldn't bring a date. I would just sarge the hell out of the party.

Yeah, I fvcked up when we first met and got myself stuck in the friend zone, oh well, shes a cool chick

no, its not a college party, its a bunch of high school kids, thats another reason I was thinking about bringing a date, and I would sarge the party but she has no female friends worth talking to (there all a bunch of ub's)

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

You do. The fact that she has any control over your plans proves it.

Bingo. If you really "didn't have any interest in her" then you wouldn't even consider what she's thinking while deciding if you should bring a date.

If you still like her, address that first. Don't run from it and try to make decisions as if you didn't care.

Definitely go and take the date. One word of caution: be casual and natural with your date. You don't want the original girl to think that you're "staging" anything to make her jealous.
