Guys, I am relocating to Australia

Yes, I am moving to Australia soon, hopefully middle of August. I am living in New Zealand btw.

I am moving there because of better job opportunities, weather and lifestyle. I am most likely going to look for a job as a flight instructor at one of the Flying Schools. Hopefully I will get a chance in Melbourne.

Could someone give me an estimate on living costs in Melbourne? Just so I get a rough idea and I can budget for it.

Aussie 'cheeks' do seem to like the kiwi guys though.

New Zealand is going down the drain day by day. Petrol is $2.20/L. Thats $2.00 Australian. Everything is expensive and life is really slow and boring. I really needed a change.

It would be good to meet up with fellow Djs living in Melbourne.

Melbourne is more like a big country town. More relaxed than Sydney.

However, Sydney IMO has the hotter woman and a far more buzzing atmosphere, it is actually a big city (but you have to go to the right places).

Either way, like every city, there are plenty of hot woman around, just have to make them yours.

I know a few Kiwis here, most of them are very nice people. Funny, relaxed and down to earth.

Melbourne's economy is pretty high right now, Sydney is a little slower, and Brisbane is over inflated.

Melbourne's a fantastic city with great nightlife.. good club scene. The only downside is that winters can be chilly. Come up to the Gold Coast and I'll get you in on some action

I don't like Melbourne that much. I have been there a couple of times before, the weather was crap and i thought it was quite dirty.

Yea that would be good quiksilver. I have been to Brisbane before, nice place. Plenty of hot women. Especially during schoolies. When you leaving for Brisbane?

I'm thinking of moving to Tasmania. Cleanest air on the planet, beautiful bushland and oceans. A bit cold though.

The social life in Tassie sucks. You wouldn't want to live there unless you don't care much about going out. That said, I met some very beautiful & nice women when I visited Tassie.
