How far do you guys trust your gut? I've been getting some odd gut feelings about a situation and I can't tell if it's overreaction or truth. Input here fellas?

Trust your gut, it's your instincts kicking in. Your sub-conscious is probably picking up on signals that your conscious isn't. I'd say use logic to back it up, and investigate. Your gut is your best friend in nearly everything. Just not to confuse it with other feelings.

If something feels funny, something IS funny. Trust it. Ease your life man, don't complicate it.
What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Your gut tells you how you know things are, concious part of mind tells you how you would like it to be. There's no concern if these two meet.
That's why you tell yourself things like, 'no she would never cheat on me after all we've been together. She would never be that disrespectful', 'I'm just overreacting and being insecure, of course she loves me', 'no I don't have a problem with alcohol, this is just temporary', 'she's probably just busy and will call me a in an hour', 'she's a great and pretty girl, I have no reason to break up with her. I'll give it a bit time and I surely will fall into her'...
