"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

So I met a girl a few weeks ago. She seemed very cool until last Thursday. Got upset that I kept doing something she didn't like and texted it to me with a "don't do it again, ok?" I saw the text, didn't respond and never got back to her. She texts me Saturday night, fuming and upset and angry, that I ignored her and that I am mad at her for sending me that text. She refused to speak on the phone. Obviously I don't take her seriously and kept making jokes. Then finally calls me and yells at me on the phone while I'm trying to reason with this *****.

I asked her, "why are you contacting me on a Saturday night about this, go have fun, I am nothing to you." She says, "Oh because you said you wanted to hang out this weekend and never got back to me." I laugh! hahaha

So finally she calms down and we make plans to hang out on Sunday (today). I'm considering saying goodbye or better yet, going completely no contact and ignoring any/all messages that come from her.

What's the best course of action? Is there a way to regain frame of control? Salvageable? or is GOODBYE the only course of action? If so, then should i say anything or just completely go no contact without saying goodbye?

EDIT: In her defense, what I was repeatedly doing is something that can be very annoying. I am a man and I admit that I wouldn't like to have the same thing done to me. Unfortunately I can't discuss the specifics of what I was doing that was so annoying.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Stay the course and hang out with her a few times to get a feel if her anger is constant. I wouldn't next her just yet, keep your options open.

UPDATE:

Today she flakes saying that she didn't agree to see me and said she only stated she would think about it. Sounds still upset with me. This was the last straw. I'm going no contact without saying anything at this point. Completely removing her from my life. Deleted her number and if she contacts me I know the last four digits of her number so I will be able to just ignore. Oh well.
