"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Basically, I've known this girl for ages, but whiel I'm dating another girl, I still like this one alot more. Anyway, its her birthday this weekend, so I was wondering if this gift idea is any good: A found a nice necklace at a local mall, so i was gonna buy that and hang it on a teddy bear, and since her favourite flowers are dandy's, I was gonna put those in the teddy bears hand?

Oh, and how do you think my girlfriend would/should react to this?

That would be a perfect gift....................IF she was your girlfriend :)

If you do end up giving it to a gf in the future you should have a teddy bear with your name on it, and have a locket around it's neck with a picture of the two of you together.

Girls don't get presents until:

1. AFTER you've ****ed them
2. and you still want to see them

So.. no present.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Unless you have gone out for awhile and would like to commit to this girl, presents are a no-no your presence should be more then enough of a present. But nonetheless that is a good idea.

Get her the necklace because most guys do the teddy bear thing....

6/10 for the gift that you want to give her.

If she is a dunce, or a daft biotch, get it for her. All women like to be treated like gold diggers, without asking for it at first. I bet she's going to respond with a stern look, and asking a lot of questions. She will still keep the gift though, and mention how she has to accept it, therefore releasing her from all future requirements, and pklacing the obstinant onus upon yourself.

She won't like the gift though...

It's too much, deep down, she will know she doesn't deserve it. She has other problems in her life, money in the form of a gift won't help. If some girl got me one, I'd tell her "thanks, I'll be out tomorrow trying to sell it for every penny it is worth to you". She may not respect you that much though.
