My gf was at a family dinner and a a guy at the table kept talking to her and was interested in her .she would reply with short answers but he eventually asked for her number . She told me she gave him a fake number and then he called it to confirm and right after she told him that it makes no sense to save it cause she has a boyfriend.

My concern is that why didn't she just say that she had a boyfriend from jump? Idk if I'm overreacting but is this a red flag? I told her I'm on the verge of breaking up with her ..
