I really like the ending where Judge Judy tells her:

"You learned a very good lesson, there are alot of nice guys out there, you just got to look very hard"

For real, this girl KNEW exectly WHAT SHE WAS GETTING HERSELF INTO (she doesn't want a "NICE GUY"). She liked the bad boy, (even though she knew he had a girlfriend), she still wanted to jump his bones with the knowledge that there is a good chance he will play her. As a matter of fact I really think that she is still in love with him and I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up fvcking her.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I couldn't watch it with a straight stomach. Did any money actually change hands in this case?

Does that mean we can now bring women to court who are no shows?
if you incur a cost by relying on someone else's promise, and the promisor had reason to believe that you would incur that cost, you can sometimes sue them for promissory estoppel to recover damages. I'm a little surprised Judy didn't make the kid pay anything -- altho spending $900 on homecoming is a little absurd to begin with.

"You learned a very good lesson, there are alot of nice guys out there, you just got to look very hard"
I think that's true. Many "nice guys" aren't actually honorable people; they simply act nice because they are weak and they want to incur favor from others.
