"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Lost In Translation, oil is traded in a free market. China and India have greatly increased their usage of oil. So should the oil companies sell to consumers at less than what they could sell it for on the market.

no matter how much oil we have, it still has to be refined. And a good bit of refineries were around New Orleans.

Yes, the Middle East solely exists to act as an oil supply for the mostly obese US population, so they can drive around the Wal-Mart parking lot for hours looking for a spot that's close to the door.

Go buy a bike.
It's not just the oil. It's all the f*cked up stuff that goes on over there. And you have to realize that that post was just a rant. In all honesty though, I do think the Middle East would be better off if we went in there full force and wiped out all the ruthless dictators and their followers, but I understand that that isn't the most practical thing to do.

And yes, I already own a bike, but riding a bike around to places is only practical if you're going within a few miles of your house. It takes way too much time otherwise.

And LIT, your posts would be much more coherent if you typed them up like a normal person.

our country is reaping what we have sown in the past decades of involvement in the middle east.

We were the ones that trained Osama to fight the soviets, now he is our most wanted terrorist!

And now you blame those countries for all the problems. Well, I will tell you this, if the USA was not so buddy-buddy with Saudi Arabia (and their oil), which might i add is one of the biggest sponsors of world terrorism, then we wouldnt be worrying about the middle east at all.

MY reality
You want to know how we can wipe out the insurgency in Iraq? You probably don't, but it would have to be something like mass murder. Otherwise, forget about it.

Obviously we still haven't learned the lesson from Vietnam. If you're trying to occupy a country where there is an insurgency, YOU CAN'T WIN, as long as there is still an occupied populace there. They will keep getting reinforcements from other Middle Eastern radicals who all believe in the same cause: Kill Americans. They will keep having children and indoctrinate them with the same radical Islamic beliefs that they have. These insurgents don't want peace. They don't want democracy. They want to kill us because we are occupying their land. The same exact thing would happen here.

For example (this is hypothetical), what do you think would happen if all of a sudden, 200,000 Cuban troops came into the U.S., took over Florida, and said they were creating a new communist government there based on Cuban laws. Maybe some people would welcome the change, but others...no. They would fight back. People are stubborn, and when you disrupt their way of life, they will bite back.

Iraq may be safe from dictatorship, but many of the people there don't like the fact that Americans are babysitting their country. The rest of the countries in the Middle East feel solidarity with Iraq, as they are all tied together with Islam, so many insurgents are coming from Syria, Lebanon, Iran, etc. to help the insurgency.

It's a fight we just can't win. Just like the "war on terrorism". You can't fight an idea or a belief, only the people that hold those beliefs. By killing one terrorist, you may have pissed his brother off just enough so that he decides to become a terrorist. And the cycle continues.

I mean, use SOME logic...

If oil was 25 dollars a barrarl 5 years ago, and it is 70 dollars a barrel now, gas is going to be more expensive.

one of our oil rigs off of the golf coast is down, which accounts for 11% of our gas.

Of course gas is going to go up.

However, gas shouldn't be going up YET. You can't charge people for gas that you haven't bought yet, which is what most of these gas stations are doing. They have gas that they bought for say, 55 dollars a barrel 3 weeks ago, and after the hurricane, are charging us 85 dollars a barrel IN ANTICPIATION of rising prices.

I think however that it's a shame that we don't have a "backup plan"... This whole mess is because the US goverment diddn't have an efficent backup plan. You are complaning about gas prices... there are states where you can't even get unleaded gas. We own alaska, which we bought soley for the use of it's oil, and you mean to tell me we can't oil from it? We have to travel outside the united states to get something we already have an abondance of?

I don't think it's too long before we start seeing the end of pertrolium powered cars.

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Gerhard Schroeder offered the US government some of Germany's oil reserves. That was nice of him.

Fuel cells would cost more to the taxpayer in the long run than hybrid cars, what with retrofitting/construction of new fueling centers, etc. Some hybrid cars can go 250+ MPG... if the government would put money in THAT we'd be in business.

If you do some research it can save you some money. I've heard stories of guys that run their pickup trucks soley on used vegetable oil which he gets free from restraurants. If you have a new enough car then fill up on E85. Some cars can be retro-fitted to run on E85. I don't know if they have that on the coasts or not but there are a lot of stations in North Dakota since we grow more corn than anybody.

People have been posting on why they think it is that way and what they think needs to be done to fix this problem. Sure, it won't help get rid of the problem, but it's nice to know why it's occurring and when and how it will stop.
Youre complaining like a little *****, whats complaining going to do? is it going to increase oil production? i highly doubt it

what we can do is DISCUSS oil prices.... discussing and complaining are completly different. complaining will get you nowhere, having an intelligent discussion will at least hopefully give you another perspective, which is something you need right about now.

I heard on the radio (107.3 WAAF Boston) that most of the oil rigs down south will be operating again by next week, not all but most......if it's true we'll see some relief soon........not that it's my biggest concern right now with millions homeless, I can deal and so should everyone else.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

The problem isn't the amount of oil... we have more than a year's output from the Gulf in strategic reserves. The problem is that many of the major refineries in the country are currently underwater. So we have a lot of crude oil and no way to make it run in cars.

The problem with world oil prices is China and the USA, and the fact that oil is sold too cheap to the consumers in these countries. Oil is actually subsidised in China! And in the USA fuel tax still lags way behind Europe. The real cost isn't being passed on to the consumer as it should be.

The best solution is to significantly increase taxes on oil in these two countries, odd as that sounds.

If that happens then demand will decrease due to alternative fuels being used.

Remember that OPEC only have so much power due to oil being in such demand. If we reduce the demand, we reduce the power of OPEC, meaning they will have to be more reasonable. Thus leading to reduced fuel costs.

I read somewhere that OPEC produce crude oil at $4 a barrel. What a beautiful example of the good things cartels do in our world economy.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
