It's essential to realize that as relationships advance, and people feel obligated to do more and more (or at least pick up where they left off), that there are points of resistance. This is akin to when boiling water reaches 212 degrees Fahrenheit. It still takes an extra kick of energy to turn it to steam. These are the points where relationships often falter, so when we understand this it helps to manage the resulting friction.

Example: You almost have sex and she says next time. Then the next date gets cancelled. It's because there was too much pressure regarding her obligations. Just take a step back and try again later.
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

They can have sex on the first date, but then the second date they feel obligated, so it can happen any time.

It's important to stay positive and always assume they like you. When you assume they don't like you and act unsure, it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Just one moment of weakness can really damage her interest.
