Throughout all of human history a minority of men have impregnated the majority of women, this is proven by genetics.
Anybody that denies that "it has always been like this" is a delusional noob.
Not always. It was like that
in the Stone Age, which is what genetic research shows. The strongest men would set up harems for themselves, and the other men had to share the less desirable and older women.
But eventually monogamy, solidified by marriage and explained through religion, came to dominate in every society that reached above the Stone Age, just like private property and trade.
(Note that the only societies that have "free love" and no private property today, praised incessantly by Marxist "cultural anthropology", Franz Boas' politicized pseudo-science, are jungle societies and island societies that are perpetually small, perpetually harsh and primitive, perpetually poor and starving. The old, the sick and even children are left in the forest to die in hard times, which come often.)
Monogamy made sure that the "beta" men, who are the vast majority, had a vested interest in improving and building the societies they lived in, so that their children would have a good future. Thus we got civilization, with roads and wheat and wheels and such.
Which is not to say that we don't still have a strong instinct to mate with many women, an instinct that is not "bad" or "sexist" but simply normal. Paradoxically, we also have the competing instinct of romantic loyalty, "love" that releases endorphines and makes us empathize with another person, the better to form a household where the children get a good start. As men, we have to wrestle with conflicting instincts due to evolution not being a straight arrow. And women think they have it tough.
