She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.
She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.
Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.
So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.
The words come later. The impression comes first.
this is very true. a friend of mine who goes to a nearby all-girls school told me that girls from her school hang around our university's library...they pretend to study and are there for the sole purpose of meeting guys. i've known this for a while, but i never really tried doing pickups in the library...Originally posted by tweeder 4. YOU DIDN'T THINK THEY WERE REALLY IN THE ACTIVITY CENTER TO STUDY DID YOU? How many times did you go through a center of some sort, and see a girl at a table by herself reading? Too many to count I'd guess. Don't let this fool you. They're waiting for you. They just need to look busy so they don't come off as pathetic. Are some girls really studying? Of course, but not a lot of them. So how do you tell the difference? Her eyes do all the talking you need.
If a girl is wanting a guy to approach, she'll look up every couple of minutes to see who's around. If she's really studying she won't be doing this. She'll be concentrating too much. So if you see a girl, stay in her line of site for a minute. If she looks up, lock eyes and smile. You might catch her off guard and she'll look back down without smiling. Don't worry. Hang around. IF she's interested she'll check you out again. When she does just go to her table and ask if you can join her. Tell her you're waiting for you're next class or whatever. Then go from there. It's easy I promise.
Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.
Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers. Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.
I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.
If you're a newblar on campus, just walk up to the hottest chick you can find and ask where your class is, even if you already know (read that in a NYTimes article, heh). I'm going to Paris this term, wtf do you think the first thing I'm gonna do is? Damn rightOriginally posted by The_Mole
awesome post. i'm going to start college in 2 weeks and this is just what i needed to read. i tried saying hi to girls on campus during orientation but they were walking so fast, i couldnt even say anything yet. i did pick up some in the classes though. whats the best phrase for a campus pick-up?(not in class or in the dorms because that is easy)

Yeah CCs suck, thats why I studied to make it into a UC far away from home :rockon:Willis said:i guess im the only 1 here not hyped, even though theres gonna be chicks what makes me think that they want me.
and another thing theres still other things ivolved like studying 4real, test, homework and all that other stuff and i dont think that i'll make it with any girls since its jus a lame-a$$ community college and nobody talks to me anyway
and also i went to orientation and i could tell nobody really wanted to talk 2 me they didnt even look at me especially the hot girls, so i guess its gonna be jus like high school all over again
but hey, thats life

Most confusing sentence I have ever read on sosuave.nethabdragon08 said:When you first meet a girl, shake her and when she tells you her name, and when you must part.
You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.
She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.
Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.
Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.
