"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Alright, first the good news: For the first time in my life, in 18 years, I was able to ask a girl for her number, and get it! Woo! Trust me, this is huge for me, I've been working so hard to be able to do this all my life.

Now the bad news: I have heard from a very reliable friend to stay away from the first girl I got my number from. He has told me that she has moved out of her house (due to family problems), apparently does drugs, and has been with many older guys. None of this I knew before I asked for her number. Needless to say, I am quite frustrated with the circumstances. Can anyone tell me what to do?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Finding out if all of this true is a good start. I'm sure she can't hide moving out of her house from you. At least see if that is true.

I'd trust the 'very reliable friend'. Numbers shouldnt be THAT hard to come by if you've made a start..

im gonna disagree 100% on this one. I was in a similar situation. I had this girl's interest and everything but then i heard from my friend she was a stupid ass slut that gets some every weekend and yada yada yada...... So i kinda became cautious and i waited a little bit to see. Well.... i found out it was bull**** and that he heard that from somebody cause yada yada. Basically it all came from a guy that wanted to **** her. He got her high and tried to **** her but she told him off and left. Then he told all this stuff like she takes it up the ass from him and a bunch of stuff.
by the time i found that out, it was 2 late and her interest moved on to other guys.

find out for yourself!

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Hey guys thanks for the responses. Basically I'll just go on a date with her and see how she really is. Again, thanks for the responses.

And another thing JT, I wouldn't ler know any of what this "reliable friend" has said about her. It will probably tear at you NOT to say something, but my advice would be to keep it under your hat, at least for now.

Go out and have a great time, and as most others have said, find out for yourself...give her the benefit of the doubt.
