I know this has been covered ad nauseam but I wanted to revisit it.

I've been going on a lot of dates lately. Half the girls seem to be really happy with kissing on the first date, the other half seem surprised and come out with comments like, 'Youre a bit fast aren't you?'

Do you guys have a set rule, like either you will go for it no matter what or you won't go for it no matter what. Or do you act according to the vibe you are getting from the girl?

Part of me is thinking that it may be better to hold off altogether on the first date and play it aloof and cool, leaving her wondering whether you like her or not.

Clearly this is irrelevant if you're fixated on a SNL, which generally I'm not.
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I have been going for it as long as the date had a decent vibe. I didnt bother when I felt like there was no real vibe besides friends. I have a relatively small sample size thus far, but I have had positive responses for all the first date kisses I went for.

The goal is always escalation.

You want to get as far as is appropriate. So for instance.....some dates end with a kiss....some end with sex. Just depends upon how attracted she is to you and her personality(is she open to sex on a 1st date?).

HB: You sure are fast arent you?
Exception: No.....it usually takes me until date 52 to go for the kiss.

Obviously, if the date ends with no escalation(and no a fvcking hug is not escalation) or she is not attracted, I would not pursue any further.
