don't give it to much attention, if someone asks you anything about it, simply put it to maturity and if she has the need to say such things to make herself feel better, then the more to her if she is that supervisial? ( spl is totally wrong) and simply say, it's not worth talking about it, considdering that people that talk about gossip are either not that really bright, afraid to check it out themselves or have totally nothing else to do and fill in some fake importance to make themselve feel better..
