Ex GF talking trash about me on Facebook, what do I do?

broke up with my ex almost a week ago (chick from the last thread.) and today I deleted her off FB finally. I felt good about it at first, but one of my friends just asked me when I did to piss her off and I said "what do you mean?". so he showed me her facebook page where she posted

"So glad to be single again, tired of beating treated like garbage." and deleted all pics of me and her.

the thing is she has alot of my family and friends on FB who are gonna see this and think i'm the bad guy here, what do I do about this?

If she mentions you by both First and Last name, she is defaming your character. It is called "libel" if you do it on public social media like she is doing. You may have heard of it as "slander" which is the same thing but done verbally (like at the water cooler at work by idiot women). You can write her whats called a "Case and Desist" letter advising her to stop, and if she doesn't, you will take legal action. I don't know where you live but in my neck of the woods, Central Illinois, the Judges take this kind of thing very seriously so long as you bring them proof. That is, when someone is defaming someone on social media. Have I sued for this successfully? yes.. Have I got money awarded to me from it? Yes.

If she doesn't mention you by name, not much you can do other than block and ignore. The mentioning by name is a big key.

My ex did the same thing she talked so much sh!t about me and I was nothing but nice to her. She tried a lot of things to get my attention and I never caved in, you shouldn't either.

Right now, basically ignore everything LOL. Ignore her stupid ass, ignore what anyone else thinks of you by watching those stupid posts. If any of your "friends" or "family" change opinion over you because some chick says you were being bad, they are not real friends and family in the first place.
