Kinda venting, kinda thinking? So I’ll try to keep this brief but, this is an issue I’ve noticed going on in my life. I just find literally everything.. super boring now?

Software engineer job? Same old ish, ho hum.

Side hustle, restaurant job? Meh. Super repetitive.

I shouldn’t be complaining. I work remote at my day job, and since I’m a one person team I don’t have people chasing me around. My side hustle is not bad at all and is just up the road.

Meal prep and gym? Feel like obligations on the same level as cleaning my house. I recognize that they need to be done, so I still do them, but they still feel like obligations. Even cooking, which I used to get hyped about, feels a bit droll & like an obligation as well.

At this point, game and pickup is the only “exciting” thing that I look forward to.

Am I tripping or is this just adulting? My whole philosophy has been “work so that you can live the lifestyle you want” (which is pickup for me.)

Maybe it’s just adulting. Idk why I’m feeling this intense low level boredom throughout the day. I ignored it before but it’s getting worse and worse and worse. There’s so much more I need to learn and do in the game, and with my fitness. I’m making progress. I have so much farther I need to go. So I SHOULDN’T feel this way, yknow?

Wanted to reach out and get ideas. Maybe I just need to be told to “suck it up.”

I do realize that if you want to do the fun “game” part you have to pay the price & do the boring work & life part.

I can't relate, as I can't imagine being excited about a software engineer job, restaurant side hustle, cooking or going to the gym to begin with...lol

I am the total opposite. I found game and pickup to be boring, especially up until the point where I fvck her. Cooking is fun. My jobs for the most part were exciting. The worst one was when I was working with the same three fvcking guys and their stupid quirks drove me mad. I like working with a variety of people, and that crossed over well when I started my own business.

A major change in work environment can really change your life. Work is where you spend a large chunk of your life. If it's just a fvcking routine, find something within the vicinity of your skills that gives you more variety. That's probably why I never became an engineer. I had a taste of it and I hated it. I hated making something according to someone else's specifications. I hated staring at a fvcking computer all goddam day. When I switched up my job and started driving to different sites for work, my life got a whole lot more interesting. It was absolutely book-worthy. Changing my career path also gave me more free time since I was good at my job. I had more time for meal prep, more time to focus on making side money, and more time to focus on saving money. I eventually realized that more "me" time is more better.

Relax, hoss...

Rejoicing in the fact that we here in The Post-Industrial West are blessed enough to NOT sweat subjects like famine or having our entire village hosed down with Zippo fluid, then being incinerated alive by marauding bandits/Have the luxury of instead spending our every waking moment ruminating on topics like which stall trannies are allowed to sh-t in... Why, that's become more outmoded than maintaining one's composure whilst sitting through a f-c-ing Star Wars trailer

Working on pragmatically achievable goals while also enjoying whatever days we have left, despite the universe's many flaws, is certifiably 2000s. The reality check 9/11 walloped each of us in the jaw with("Tommorow ain't guaranteed and your demise may be anything but clean and pretty, so you better start living it up NOW, while you're still drawing breath")prove to be entirely too short-lived

Yeah, that’s life I guess haha. I’ll say at least with WFH you can play YouTube to entertain you in the background. Working at a restaurant is always entertaining because of the coworkers and crazy people that come in there.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I find that one needs to slow down and wake up earlier while its dark out and get a cup of coffee in the office while the whole world is still asleep to appreciate what you have. I have to agree with Desdinova here, enjoy your Me time more and appreciate what you have, because sooner or later down the line when you get in a relationship or get hitched you will have to be doing more giving and doing a 180 and regret not spending more time for yourself when you were a bachelor. So enjoy these years while you can, because relationships and marriage requires responsibility and time and giving. Spend your days being more thankful for what you have, find hobbies that you enjoy on your free time and delve into the spiritual aspects of life more and intangible qualities of other people etc.

I think you’re doing everything to boost your ego, which eventually reaches a dead end when it comes to excitement. Try volunteering to needy people. Do something that doesn’t enhance your ego and self image. Just reading your post, it seems like you are all about you. And you seem like a boring guy, no offense. There’s a whole world out there of people suffering or people who could benefit from you if you had a “serve others” mentality.

Especially if one throws on music appropriate for the occasion
whilst doing so

I have an overarching life goal/mission/purpose that gets me out of bed every day. All of my other goals (fitness, job, diet, savings etc.) fold into that. Without it I was like you. Now if anyone tried to tell me to give up they'd be dropped from my life. That's my secret sauce.

Yeah, I am the opposite. I’m a “Thrill of the Hunt” guy, the high point of my week is approaching.

Yeah, reflecting on it a few days, my job is chill and routine. I guess that’s just life. I did have to upskill to get to this point. I realized, like, what am I complaining about? My job isn’t too demanding rn. What more could I ask for? All I have to do is hug my job & get my check?

Do you have any huge ambitions that you're working toward?

Life can turn into a grind without a "purpose" even if you're getting laid like crazy and making bank.
Not anymore outside of getting laid, making bank, and getting jacked (which those two go back to getting laid haha.)

I enjoy cooking & reading cookbooks but that’s more of a hobby to keep me on diet.

I used to be super passionate about playing & writing music, but I realized it wouldn’t pay my bills so I hung it up. I joke that I’m “retired” lol.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Hmm. I never thought about it like that. I could volunteer a couple days a week.

How curious are you?

Boredom comes from feeling comfortable with where you are at and perhaps not pushing yourself to learn more or do more.
I think as a software engineer you should be learning new skills over time.

I wouldn’t say my current job is “difficult” rn, it’s just “sit down, shut up, write the code, get paid.”

It’s kind of a conundrum.
When the job was super stressful I was whining about it. Now that my job is chill I’m whining about it too haha.

Logically, it’s WAY better to have a chill job where they’re not chasing you around. That’s what we want right?

I’m trying to get ahead of this work so that in a few months this job can be truly trivial.

Those aren't ambitions, they are super intense hobbies.

What are you doing those things for?

What do you get when you have enough money, when you are super jacked, when you have high level skills of banging pretty much any woman you want? Then what?

What is the ultimate goal you are shooting for? Your deeper purpose?

He’s in his 20’s. When I was in my 20’s. All I cared about was getting laid. And as long as I was getting laid, I was never posting on seduction forums and I definitely was not complaining about being bored. Like I said in my previous post, I feel like he’s chasing after ego validation. He wants us to think that he has this great life. Guys in their 20’s making bank and getting laid are busy making bank and getting laid.

Their LAST concern is sosuave validation. In fact they don’t even have the attention span to post anything, let alone post about making money and getting laid and being bored.

@nicksaiz65 I would suggest you be more authentic.

Because some of us actually went through what you are claiming. And I don’t ever remember being bored when I had raging hormones and knowing there’s countless amounts of women I could have fun with.

In your 20’s, getting money and getting laid should be the most exciting time of your life. If anything, I should have been the author of this post. “I’m 41 and making bank and getting laid and I am bored out of my mind.” That would make way more sense than a kid posting this.

Don’t want to be the bad guy but there is no such thing as a guy in his 20’s who’s making money and getting laid and is somehow “bored”. Even your 20 year old hormones betray your post.

Hm. Good question. I’m not sure.
