drunk + stupidy = i love you

Last night (11:30) called the g/f all drunk, she ended up goin home early, so after the phone call I text her Do you love me? She replies Yes I love you. After the bar (2:53) I text her back, I love you babe lots. This morning she sends me another text You really surprised me w/ that text last night.

When I talked to her on the phone tonight, she asked me if I was drinking last night and was laughing at me about last night. I didn't remember sending those texts to her until after I got off the phone w/ her and checked out my phone.

How should I handle this situation, I don't want her to think that I love her etc... want to still play the distant/busy/mysterious etc.... role.

Wow. alchohol does damage the Brain. just tell her you were really drunk, and don;t even remeber it happened, OR my better option is to COmpletely AND honestly ignore it and hope it will go away, but unfortunately, like a bad vd I don't think it will. good luck! and STOP and <FOR THE LOVE OF GOD> DONT TEXT/CALL when you're drunk!!!! unless its a booty call, of course!

This is hard to recover from.

You could play it off as being drunk you were just screwing around / testing her / having fun.

Or you could just say "hey, it's what I felt like saying at the time."

Or you could have an AFC-style 'serious' conversation which would lead to her "having mixed feelings"

"I'm sorry MacAvoy, I want to stay with you, but I also don't. I just can't explain it. It's not you, it's me"

LMAO yeah tell her you were drunk and accidentally sent it to the wrong person. That'll sure leave you mysterious, though it could be a little dangerous..

actually, alphathree might be onto something -- probably the best idea is to say something like "hey, it's what i felt like saying at the time. enjoy it now...b/c i don't very often say stuff like that"

it's a strong response, you get to be honest, while keeping your dignity. the whole "it was a joke" thing is lame and transparent, and the "i was drunk" thing makes you sound like you have no self control.

you can say i love you to a girl and not lose her. if you mean it then you can say it. I tell my g/f I love her two or more times a day, and she has never been more into me. Just play it right and it'll be fine.
