I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.
The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.
Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
Out of sheer curiosity, I decided to see if this was indeed Squirrels wife, or if it was a troll.777is21 said:In response to this statement someone made- Yes- we are happily married and he has told me to no end how embarrased he is of ever taking part of this rediculous masogonistic site.(Think about it, if you have to take the advice of people you dont know who prolly dont know anything themselves, then wouldnt it be better to make your own mistakes and learn from them than listen to what someone else is making up and dispensing at YOUR expense? this place is a joke- take it from a hot, succesfeul woman who has always had her pick- and I picked squirells, who knows as much about women as 99% of you do about brain surgery, LOL... It checked out. Squirrels is married to this woman.
When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.
Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.
Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.
The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.
Now I'm confused, Mrs. Squirrels... Before SS I was absolutely clueless about women and seriously lonely.777is21 said:"Maybe after his epiphany he is now a happily married man with two children and a gorgeous wife who loves him...respects him...and tends to all his needs. Way to go squirrel!!!!!"

In all fairness, I think your opinion on Squirrels is pretty shortsighted. Sure, he had personal issues and used most of his posts to vent these. But that doesn't mean he sucked at gaming women or that he had nothing to offer in terms of advice to other posters. Actually, he offered LOTS of great advice! It just gets overshadowed by all his venting about his personal issues, which probably causes you to remember only that side of him.Colossus said::yes:
People are always pining for this retired poster or that banned guy. Pook, PHM, Burroughs, squirrels...I think those people need to be led. They are either too mentally obtunded or too unsure of their own abilities in life to distill wisdom from their own experience.
Personally I think squirrels was weak. Maybe he's a cool guy IRL but he never offered much in the way of advice or positive direction, just a bunch of circular, cynical b!tching. Apparently he married one of Baltimore's intellectual juggernauts.![]()

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.
For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.
Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.
The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
shut up slvt. You're hot huh? For now. Remember that will always have been you're biggest strength. Wait til that fades and you stop getting so much attention.777is21 said:"Maybe after his epiphany he is now a happily married man with two children and a gorgeous wife who loves him...respects him...and tends to all his needs. This is a good train of thought. I've found this to be true as well. Most reject it.Desdinova said:He's just doing what I did when I got married; being 100% honest about everything. Letting my ex-wife know that Sosuave existed was a huge mistake. Letting my ex-best friend know Sosuave existed was a huge mistake too. Unless the person is already well-versed in the subjects discussed here, I tell nobody about it. This forum rubs most outsiders the wrong way, especially women. We appear as bitter misogynists.

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
I think this is a bit harsh on the website and it's purpose. You aren't simply just trying to drive girl crazy with the ideas posted on this site. A lot of what I read is about just being patient and not coming off eagerly to girls.squirrels said:This "Don Juan" stuff...it works great for keeping control of yourself in a world filled with crazy female minds. It'll help you understand. But a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
Sometimes, the very thing that keeps you alive in the dating game can also keep you alone. All of these seduction-angles we play...they can wreck women's confidence and self-esteem, can drive girls crazy that would have otherwise been "stable", and can end up destroying the affection they have for you. Be careful of engendering a "love-hate" relationship just so you can feed on the "love" part.
Sometimes the fortresses we build around our hearts and minds turn into prisons. Sometimes the ideas you implant in someone else's mind can grow into something that destroys them...or you. YOU can end up becoming the "crazy one". When you start to see the "truth" of human nature, you can end up shutting EVERYONE out, to the point where you turn intimacy with EVERYONE into a mind-f*ck competition, pushing them away to arm's length while trying to keep them from taking off completely.
If you have low self-esteem, "Juanning" it up is not the answer. The truth is in your own self-image. Become a worthy person, seek always to improve, and take pride in who you are. Believe you're the kind of man that a good woman would love to be with...act like that kind of man...and begin to see yourself as him.
This is what I'm having trouble with now. Finding the balance and trying not to overanalyse things.logicallefty said:Agree with OP. In fact the guy who originally pointed me to this site told me that once you grasp the Don Juan mindset sometimes you have to back off a little in a LTR, but never loose your core principals.
As for Mrs. Squirrels, out of respect for Squirrels who I don't even know but out of respect for him as another man I am going to refrain from speaking my mind about you. Hey Squirrels, good luck man, I hope it works out I really do.. But wow....
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
