Does marriage truly benefit men?

To be honest, I think that might be because when a man has a GF/wife, he may be more motivated to be productive in order to maintain her interest in him.

This is the reason humans evolved pair-bonding instincts, which was integral to us becoming the apex predators of Earth.

Man by himself won't do jack sh*t.

Man inspired by a good woman will chase his ambition to the ends of the Earth.

Problem is most men today don't have much ambition, and most women ain't worth much.

It might be designed to do that, but thats often not the case of what actually happens. It certainly doesn't do that for me. Get married and divorced and you might think differently. Its a contract to screw the one with more assets & wealth when it goes bad.

Reduce uncertainty?....a person can cheat or not. A marriage contract doesn't make it any less likely. It doesn't make people stay either.

You are right, either party can get potentially screwed. However, I'd rather be a divorced male in his late 30s and onward than a late 30s and onward guy that's never been married.

This is why you as the male are responsible for woman you choose to marry. If you were to borrow money for a house, they would require solid Proof of Income, your credit score/history, a down payment, assets and cash reserves, DTI ratio, and etc. Dumb men are over here putting rings on the first bimbo that sticks around or letting the sunk cost fallacy affect your decision. I know some guys on here are hung on the sunk cost fallacy because they complain about the same woman every 6 months lol. Yet, these guys put a ring on the girl that was blowing rodney and stirring the pot seasonally because it was convenient for them and dumbfounded on why it ended in divorce years later lol. Y'all need to start acting like the bank when it comes to loaning out money when it comes to giving women marriages and LTRs.

Men who have higher incomes and are healthy are more likely to be married because such men are naturally more attractive to women. But that does not mean that they became successful and healthy as a result of being married.

It's like saying that every professional basketball player is over 6 ft tall. Therefore, if you want to be tall, you should become a professional basketball play. Umm, no.

Don't forget. The number one case of divorce is marriage. It is proven by multiple studies, those that choose to marry have an extremely higher chance of divorce compared to those that have never married.

That simp is going to be taken for a ride with her cheating on him until he catches her, probably forgives her a few times and she promises she will stop but then just keeps doing it and then he finally can't take it anymore and divorces her.

But he likely knew she was recreational use only but then he promoted her to a position she wasn't qualified to hold.
