Do you ever see yourself thinking too far ahead into something? Lets take women for example.

For ex: you meet a girl one night at a party. you get it on with her on the dance floor, get her number.

Do you think to yourself:
1. wow, she is great. i cant wait to see her again.
2. heh, that was cool. let me try to get another girl.
3. damn...i think she is LTR material.

i often find myself in between 1 and 3.

i dont know why i see myself thinking so far ahead when things havent even progressed that far yet.

Yeah fvck, I used to do that. The thing is I was looking for a LTR, so I was always trying to picture me and this woman in a LTR. It was all part of my "qualifying" process.

When I was an AFC, I would do this with a girl who was just being friendly to me. I wouldn't have the ba11s to get her number, but I could picture me on a date or in a relationship with her.

I'm young and immature so unfortunately i'm always thinking option #2. I figure the more numbers I pull, the more dates I go on, the better the chances of me meeting the right girl for me on however many dates.

I call it optimization of chances, others call it doggish. To each his own, I do my thing you do yours. Remember though for each failed endevor with what ever potential LTR, the clock ticks for us all.

I definitely think too far ahead.

It's a problem for me in that I usually see myself being inadequate for her as a "boyfriend". I.e. I'll be at a bar or something, meet a cute girl... get some rapport going and then short-circuit myself when I realize that we could fool around but at some point my inner-wimpiness would show through.

Weak inner-game, yuck.
