The thing is, the judge isn't going anywhere. This attorney will have to appear in front of her again. Making the judge hate you doesn't help your clients. I wouldn't hire her now.

Seems silly however I used to work in the legal field (paralegal) and when appearing in Court before a Judge, the female attorneys would typically wear a stylish blazer over a sleeveless shift dress like that. Court protocol. Remove after court hearing.

BTW I have a similar dress from J.Crew and it IS called a tank dress.

Agree with @Bible_Belt she shouid not have spoken to the Judge like that. The Judge makes the rules in their own courtroom and it's best to abide by them no matter how silly they seem to you.

Dapperness is a pre-req for court, attorneys and clients alike, thus a $30 J. Crew outfit fits THAT bill less closely than Burger King does a Michelin Star rating

It is TX, and we don’t know how good or poorly the A/C was working in the courtroom.

Blazers are quite warm to wear, but they are standard protocol so you kind of have to suck it up.

The judge was just signaling he could be easily swayed by what a woman might wear. ;-) He was starting to get hot....and bothered by her.
Women need to understand that most of us red blooded males will look at her and think of her great big t!ts she has jammed in that dress and wonder what they look like when they fall out. If you want use to take you serious, then stop dressing in tight fitting clothes that show your best assets.
