"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Do you think "loser" men are attracted to mothers because they are "instant family"?

... the isolation and vulnerability of so many working-class men, who have been pushed by the faltering economy from one way of life—a nine-to-five job, a wife, children—into another, far more precarious one: unemployed or underemployed, single or divorced, crashing on relatives’ spare beds or in the backseats of cars.

<snip>

In some cases, when a man was courting a woman, Edin found that he would court her child so intensely that it seemed “the child was the main audience for his affections,” not the mother.

<snip>

... for men who are failing the traditional tests of marriage and parenting, this kind of intense emotional connection “is the last form of identity available.” It’s a way to maintain a sense of family if you can’t be a reliable breadwinner, or even keep up with child support.
BTW, the whole article is interesting in its own right! :eek: :nervous:

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Lots of dudes are getting themselves into the situation of raising/supporting kids that aren't theirs. I steer clear of single mothers that have no contact with the ex. That means she's looking for a daddy and a checkbook. Nope.

Lots of guys want to feel wanted and needed and just aren't aware why they are really wanted and needed, because their blueprint of intimacy that they constructed over their lives appears to be met under the single mother type, which they don't realize is an archetype; because, of course, she is different. They also find the idea of being this figure of support and love with a single mother and her kids as ideal to fulfilling their intimacy blueprints, without realizing that he is merely an idealization of father figure (utility) to her.

To answer your question, no. These guys aren't losers per say. Many I'm sure are good guys -those that aren't using these types of women that is- and are following their hearts more than reason. Morons, misguided, inexperienced, hyper- romantics, ignoramuses may be better suited terms.

I have a friend who keeps trying to set me up with single moms. That's his ****ing selling point, ready made family. The funny thing is, his ready made family was riding the carousal hard before he came along and saved her. Pof pump n dump because honestly she's not that hot. One drunken night she told me about her dating life and her white knight. She didn't want to be 30 with nothing. Buddy beams at this, happy to play the role. Now he's starting a business because she says he doesn't make enough money.

My older cousin married a woman with two kids. She's diagnosed BPD too...though we didnt find that out until they had been married for a few years. She is also 6 years older than him. Fast forward 14 years later. He divorces the b*tch that he gave the best years of his life to (32-46). Those two kids that he helped raise/support? Gone. They rarely speak to him...unless they NEED something. The ex-wife? She's a lesbian now. He's late 40's and has found a nice girlfriend. But he went through 14 years of hell. No thanks...no instant family for me.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Oh it's Hanna Rosin, the author of "the end of men" and another Gentile hating feminist Jewess...*Yawn*

edit: wtf is up with the by-line?:
A serial killer finds a newly vulnerable class of victims: white, working-class men.
Her and her ilk have been doing their darndest to portray white working class males as the oppressive devil for the past 5 decades. What's with the complete 180 all of a sudden?
