Its not about sex, its about validation and there is nothing society can do at this point.

The message is that everyone is having sex except losers and this message is broadcasted to a multitude of guys who lack the means to have sex even if they do their best.

No amount of game or money can help a short skinny fat guy to get laid in high school nowadays.

Prostitution wont help unless it decrease the demands of women, it surely wont help to fix the frustrated minds of incels.

nah - prostitution is basically legal here in teh UK, and there's a sh1t load of angry incels everywhere. It's why there's so much violence every night here I think. People see these super pretty girls prancing around, they get rejected because she's not interested in chatting to some random average (or below average) looking dude, he gets drunk and there's mass violence on the street at 3am without fail lol

I have no problems with legal prostitution and as a matter of fact it is only a matter of time before it will be legal throughout the U.S.. Having said that it will be like using a band aid to heal a broken leg. The incels want more than sex, what they want is real intimacy and the validation that comes from being a man that women are attracted to. It may stop mass shootings but I think the violence will shift to something like what @cheyne described happening in the UK. This is one of the reasons why having a firearm on you is important.

There is no such thing as "Incel violence." There's violence and there are people who commit violent acts.

If prostitution was legalized tomorrow, they'd still be violent.

The problem is most sex is transactional already. Making it more overt won't help.

What these men desire is a woman to genuinely desire them. If it was about just sex they would take a trip to Nevada and visit a brothel.

I agree that most incels want validation and genuine desire from women, not services from prosties.

Notwithstanding, I don’t think legalizing it will necessarily make it affordable for incels in the US.

It’s already legal in parts of Nevada, but it’s priced high enough to only cater to high-end clients.

My prediction is it would start out cheap, and then prices would go through the roof. Then it will be cost prohibitive for incels or average income guys.

You’ll never see a reasonably priced “red light district” in the US.

It's cheap in the UK. Tonnes of extremely hot, teenage Polish, Latvian etc girls and stuff work many places in the UK (probably thought they were getting a job doing something very different!!) and it's not expensive. And it's basically legal

I think this is a bit speculative and assumes that all incels are the same. I think for some it won't help due to the validation issue, but for others it will put them at ease knowing that it being simply transnational and really no big deal.

It should not be illegal if it is consenting adults, but I'm not endorsing it either.

As far as the economics: In the long run prices balance out at market clearing assuming that the government does not get involved (and I'm sure that they would want their cut in taxes). If prostitutes make good money, I would not at all be surprised to see more girls with eyes on that money.

The evangelicals and Cathlics will never accept this, but it could knock out two birds with one stone. One, help ladies with the student loan debt. Two, all these social losers to get their rocks off. Boom. No more mass killings outside of extremists (they want those 72 virgins).
