An increasing number [of] Catholic women are taking life-long chastity vows in order to “dedicate themselves” to God, according to the Vatican.

The Holy See has issued new guidance on consecrated virginity in response to growing interest across the world in the little-known spiritual “vocation”.

Consecrated virgins are unmarried women who pledge to remain celibate for their entire lives, eschewing romantic or sexual relationships to devote themselves exclusively to being mystical “brides of Christ”.

my opinion: Hypergamy has made women so that they only want to submit to sex for the perfect man, and since such men are hard to come by - especially ones that would submit the female mating imperative of monogamy - so they figure that they can soothe their want of a romantic relationship with a man by being spiritual.

my opinion: Hypergamy has made women so that they only want to submit to sex for the perfect man, and since such men are hard to come by - especially ones that would submit the female mating imperative of monogamy - so they figure that they can soothe their want of a romantic relationship with a man by being spiritual.

It's silly to make vows when you are in a phase. Supposed you grow up and think differently, then you are stuck because you made a vow to God.

So women consider the average guy so low right now that they would rather pick an imaginary friend of great status instead.

They would rather drop sex, intimacy, validation and attention rather than getting them from a man outside the top 20%.

Nothing wrong with that as long as the bottom 80% could say the same when it comes of paying taxes for their welfare.
