I guess the basis of the question means that men don't get to define masculinity; women do by selection. (& vice versa.) So in the end it doesn't really matter what you as a man thinks if a guy has a beautiful woman on his arm (assuming not paid for). Any questioning of his masculinity or lack thereof is tantamount to "why'd he land her and not me?" or "she can do better" or "what's he got that I don't." Doesn't matter, she's with him.

So in that regard he can be any archetype of man. Brute, dandy, criminal, hero, romantic. She chose him, end of story.

I would only say that masculinity shouldn't necessarily be boiled down to getting pv$$y, it's not the healthiest way to raise a boy and there are a million other decisions a man will make in his life unrelated to seduction or attraction.

Dude is 6ft 2, but had that Justin Bieber pretty boy look in HS and couldn't fight off a fly if his life depended on it. I think RP pushes a hyper-masculine look because fitness is more in a guy’s control than other factors.

There is nothing wrong with that, but it’s not the ONLY way to attract women.

The pretty boy/metrosexual/slightly effeminate look can absolutely work well for some guys, especially younger guys. But it requires the right face and hair, which is less within in a guy’s control than say weightlifting.

RP audience also includes some late bloomers and guys making up for lost time, so a pretty boy image glow up might not be practical due to age/aging and/or hair loss. But those guys can still get fit.
