My take on it is to give them a very open ended answer. Let it be a mystery, and therefore never purposely bring it up (thats a good way to show her that you are trying to prove yourself).
Instead, never mention it unless she brings it up. And in the event that she does, don't answer her immediately. Answer her question with another question: "why, would it bother you if I did?" or "Do I seem like that type of guy to you?"
Or tell her something along the lines of "I'm just looking to have fun and meet new people. It just so happens that a lot of those people tend to be female".
This way you get the effect of implying that she does have competition, without sending her a red flag by telling her straight up that you are b0inking other women.
(My examples are nowhere near perfect but they demonstrate my point.)
