I was just curious about this. After the ejaculation period during sex, does it cause a man's level of testosterone to decrease?

I always get a natural high after sex and a rush and can't sleep afterwards. So, I would say testosterone goes up after sex, but i'm just guessing.

I dont know where I read this, and I cant vouch for the validity, but I do recall reading that ejaculation causes a decrease in testosterone, and that its not optimal to have sex/jerkoff before working out. Whether it causes a huge difference and actually has some real effects...I have no idea.

Yes, ejaculation causes a decrease in testosterone. It takes about 7 days to return to peak testosterone levels after an ejaculation.

does that mean that having regular sex will hurt gains in the gym?

It might lower it some, but if that was the case then pro athletes in the NBA, NFL, etc would be weaklings because of regular sex because hors throw themselves at them everynight. So, it can't have much of an impact on testosterone.
