Yep... I would shave the beard or grow it out. You have a nice strong jawline... you really don't need a beard. You look your age.. but you are wearing a beard style like a dude in his 20s.

I would agree with the comments about the beard and eyebrows. You shouldn't have any hair beneath the jaw line, so don't even attempt to style it that way. I'd say you look like you're in your mid-thirties.
As far as your appearance goes, think about your physique and the clothes you wear as well. Otherwise it's pretty difficult to go on two close up photos of your face.
That being said, it's not just your appearance that matters. How you carry yourself, how you talk to other people, your general self esteem, where you go to meet people and the types of people you meet all contribute to your success. As has been said, if all you are meeting is gays and grannies, start thinking about where you can go to meet hotties.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
