Do girls only seek attention they are interested? Or just any guy?

Do girls want attention from guys they are interested, or from just any random guys? I know when I dress down, t-shirt, shorts, sandals, girls look right past by me. When I dress in wingtip, collar shirts, they like to sit in front of me at public places, or purposely pass by me. It seems like my housemate wants attention from me.

Attention from who they fancy and if they don't get that they'll take any attention they can get.

TBH, I'm the same. I will hit up girls I don't even fancy from time to time if I'm bored or my ego needs some validation and the one's I do aren't being particularly responsive.

In a perfect world, only guys that she is attracted to would even exist lol. Yes, all else being equal, women much prefer the attention of guys they are attracted to.

Women also like to have orbiters in friend zone, but it's not same thing. It's attention, yes, but a different kind of attention.
