"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Week 3 (Attempt 6)

Got my "Aura" back. Women look at me again.

It was excessively rough getting back up. I lost count long ago of how many chokes I had. But I made some real attempts. My biggest complaint is the weather being colder now. It feels like the difficulty somehow just went up.

  1. HB7 and HB5, ~18yo, inner city. Said hi and blanked out completely. I kept looking at HB5 but HB6 might have been more interested. Awkward silence that felt like it stretched minutes. Then I felt embarrassed and left. HB5 was intensely looking sideways while I stood right in front of her. She didn't move or react otherwise. HB6 giggled like I was the funniest thing she had seen all week. I left and waved shyly at HB6 because I was still unable to talk. She said "bye" to me while laughing.

  2. HB7 and HB6 at an event. I passed them three times with eye contact and all. On the fourth time, I stopped and gave myself some pep talk. They must have noticed my intention and made it easy for me. They also stopped walking as I did.
Me: "Hey, hello" (came out very smooth, deep voice, calm, even surprised myself)
HB7: "Hi~"(She smiled with expectation despite me all serious)
Me: "Are you 17?" (What the F4CK was I doing? WHY? I wanted to ask how old she was, not asking yes or no questions!!)
HB7: Yes, I'm 17 (seemed confused but still smiled, like "how does he know?")
Me: "For real? You are really 17?" (lmao, fml, just let it go!! It's legal in my country and I'm just here to talk two minutes)
HB7: "Yes" (stated flatly and stopped smiling and looked increasingly disappointed)
Me: "I ... uh ... just thought your red clothes and blonde hair match really well" (putting her on a pedestal)
HB7: "I got a boyfriend" (she looked annoyed, her expression saying "this guy is a total dud")

This was a screw-up in every way, but it got me into a groove. I spent 30 minutes doing mental gymnastics for a playboy persona. I figured this would totally work out.

  3. Two HB6
Me: Hey! Nice weather today (Came out extremely confident, smile, eye contact and posture included. I was purposefully obvious)
HB6: ... (silence stretched for a single second. I kept exuding confidence)
HB6: The one I was standing next to started to look intrigued and smiled back, but the other burst into laugher (I expected both reactions, but not in two different people at the same time!!!!...)
HB6: I'm actually married (showed me some ring, while still genuinely smiling at me)
Me: Huh... how old are you? (came out fairly smooth considering how flustered I was)
Other HB6: stopped laughing, noticing the difference in her friend's reaction. Then she proceeded to pull her away. Her mental state seemed off balance.
Me: After they left, I got out of my persona eventually and felt like dying from embarrassment. Even the day after, I randomly had a backlashes about the utter cringe I committed.

  4. Four non-HBs, still at the event. I looked at one of them, noticing a nose ring. That one would look alright if it wasn't for that. I moved on.
Girl1: "Oh my gosh~~~did you just see that guy staring at me??" (Tone of voice was with negativity)
Girl2: "Inaudible" (it was loud and I was further ahead)
Girld3: "Crazy, maybe he is [inaudible]" (sounded like I'm some sort of serial killer by theier tone)
Me: uh ...me? (I stopped and turned around)
Girl1: well ... you kind of stared at me and then kept walking (slightly nervous)
Me: huh ... (me pondering the last couple seconds)
Girl1: are you a youtuber? (trying to change the topic I think)
Me: Why .... ? (I kept having a blank stare, which is a bad habit of mine)
Girl1: you are scary ... (increasingly nervous)
Girl2: Who are you even? ... (slight anger for no reason)
Me: I'm nobody (trying to say I'm not a youtuber or famous person)
Girl1: Holy crap, this guy is dangerous ... (sounded like fear ... wtf)
Girl4: For real ... (She was starting to panic)
Me: Yea, I'm a very dangerous person (deadpans)
All of them: Oh my god ... let's get away quickly ... (they literally run away ....)

I don't get it. People are around everywhere and security guards and police are always just a couple of steps away. Why even react like this? I swear at another event a little boy under 10yo randomly pulled at my pants. He didn't see me that way. But his mom almost panicked lmao. Or another time I was in a dark secluded corner to "recharge". Some irresponsible parents let her blonde baby girl walk there seemingly alone. I tried to purposefully scare her away. But she just kept staring at me. I waited around till she was in a more crowded place. It was the weirdest thing to get stared down like this. In hindsight, maybe I should have asked if she was lost. But if she wasn't, I think everyone here agrees with me. Very real risk of giving off some seriously wrong impression? Still, I probably should have asked ...

That event barely had any HBs. There also had been mostly low quality men around. I noticed like half the women glancing at me but unfortunatly whites had been rare. Mostly middle east and indians. The only part that they had going for them was that age range was mostly 16-18yo.

In either case, I had to leave now. My mind already played out a escalation scenario, which might not even have been that far fetched.

After that to the inner city again. I have seen some places with high HB density. Apparently, high-end bars are now a good place, since the weather is colder now.

Did some scouting in different bars. It was packed everywhere. I couldn't sit or order anything. Moved from bar to bar. Eventually, I found one, but it was more like a restaurant. Had a beer. Got completely hammered by it (a single beer lol),

  • 5. Two HB7, ~22yo:
Me: Heellooooo~ (I was calm for sure … but being drunk doesn't work.)
HB8: Come on, let's walk faster (Sighs… with slight annoyance)
(She says to her friend while ignoring me completely. Her tone was noticeably lighthearted, and they didn't seem tense or anything. I don't think they took me seriously by any measurement. I must have appeared like a goof)

Turns out alcohol doesn't work at all for me. I need to avoid this in the future.

I noticed that clubs changed me for the worse while being at the event. I don't know what to make from this. In clubs, it seemed like it's obligatory to have a competitive and tense vibe. I somehow figured this was normal in social activities. After I was able to relax a bit more, I started to get looks from women. That's where the attempts have been made. Yet another reason to avoid clubs.

Result: 0 (0 out of 10) ... at least I made some actual attempts again.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Week 3 (Attempt 7)

I started the day in a very intense way. Went climbing with a friend to overcome my fear of heights. Straight after waking up.

Our trainer was a blonde HB8, like 18yo old at most, piercing blue eyes. In her equipment she looked close to a 9 because it overly emphasized her figure.

Normally, these would be optimal conditions. But there were too many variables.

  • Most importantly, as I was up like 10m / 33ft high, I hyperventilated and all, badly panicking on my first 2-3 ascends.
  • My friend seemed into her
  • This was a hardcore climbing gym. Social status is heavily dependent on skill. Who can clear what course? A unique place in that regard. Normally, “skill” is either not this objectively measured or not weighted as much. At least as far as I can tell.
With all things considered, I decided to try my hand as a wing for the first time ever. He is a real extrovert and also very athletic. HB8 mentioned the highest any beginner ever cleared was level 7. He made it to 6 on his first day. Meanwhile, I only made it to level 4.

The irony is, he had no chance with her. He is too easy going and lacks tension somehow. Polar opposite of me. Not like I really had a chance either. But it was interesting to observe this as a bystander.

I remember a funny comment of HB8-9:

“Friend of Arete, you are wasting far too much strength by taking overly big steps!”
“And you Arete, you are wasting way too much strength by taking overly small steps!”

Couldn't help but laugh. Accurate description of personalities.

I continued being a bro and playing him up if given the opportunity. Also, letting him do most of the talking with her, sometimes saying something to keep it going. Like a talk show host. As my friend went up, HB8 put her attention on me. She told me how to stop ****ting myself up there(lmao). Probably found me mildly amusing, she laughed a bit. As my friend went down he looked at me pissed. While he struggled up there, I have been flirting! (his POV only)

What did I learn? Being a wing man is seriously hard. Afterwards, I went all in being a Wing. Losing him was not worth over something like that. Only person I know in real life who has high standards for himself and is willing to try new stuff.

It didn't work with HB8-9, but I largely overcame my fear of heights. Also, now it crossed my mind to ask him if he wanted to come with me for a field day. He isn't cut out for this, just like I am. I wonder what his reaction will be. I give it 50/50. I'm curious about what it's like to be a DJ in multiplayer if he agrees.

After that, I tried to recharge for the DJ stuff later in the day. Two days prior, I started with dating apps to supplement, but had zero matches. I checked again today but still zero. It was a massive disappointment and dragged down my mood. But I still went on to make attempts.

  1. two HB5, brutal burn.

  2. two HB6, fatality. I wanna go home.

  3. At a bar, hesitate at the entrance. A really tall guy that happened to be there picked that up. I was dressed casually.
Guy: Tried to stare me down(Internal thought: "what is a peasant like you doing here?").
Me: I stared back" (Internal thought: "got a problem?")
Guy: “Are you looking for someone?" (stereotypical arrogance. Even tilted his head slightly backwards)
Me: "Getting something to drink …" (still unsure if this guy even works there. My internal thought torn between “A street fight is about weight class, I can kick his ass!” and “If this is about money, I got more than enough for a damm mid-range bar!”)
Guy: “It's reservation only” (I'm calling bs, but now I know a fool like him actually runs this place, or his parents are)
I was extra polite and formal after that, trying to make it clear I'm like 10 years older than him and got more than enough money. But it went way over his head.
Not once in my life was I disrespected like this. At least not by someone this much younger. I was PISSED. It turned into frustration and emptiness. I did sit down on a bench staring into the distance. Analyzing what went wrong.
    Unknown amount of time passed.
Me: “It can't be ….” (stands up, starts walking)

  4. Three HB5-7 passed me:
Me: Hey! Excuse me … How old do I look?
Me: I know, kind of stupid question (looks away from embarrassment)
HB5+6+7 line up in front of me like soldiers
    HB5: 19
    HB6: 22!
    HB7: 20?
Me: For real? (Stunned. I thought something like "I have a fresh haircut today, maybe because I told my stylist about approaches?”)
HB5: Yes really? How old are you?
    HB6: Why does it matter?
HB7: What's so interesting about this?
    Me: I wasn't let in.
    HB5: Where?
Me: That bar over there (points in direction)
HB5+7: But you clearly look over 18?
Me: Exactly … (shakes head in disbelief, my mind still at that damm bar)
HB5+6: So how old are you??
Me: I'm almost 30 (my tone confident for absolutely no reason)
    HB5+6+7 all stepped closer
Me: I stepped back. Getting flustered and intimidated (they had all been pretty tall, for a second my instincts kicked in.)
Me: thanks, I guess I know what was up with that bar now (leaves, because I realized I just took a step back from 3 women. It was beyond pathetic.)
    Talking time: 30 seconds
I know. This is getting pathetic. I had one job, and ran away from it. But after analyzing it there is something interesting about this.

In my mind, I was literally just a passerby, not a DJ and definitely not a PUA. It was not an “Attempt." I don't think this can be consciously replicated by me in the future. But I felt confident during the moment. Confidence is fleeting and must be used once it's there. I also still had a vivid psychological afterimage I could reenact. So I tried the exact same thing word for word. Emotion for emotion again like an Echo.

  5. HB with her back to me. Shot in the dark. Walked around her to approach from the front. Turned out HB5:
Me: Hey! Excuse me … How old do I look?
Me: I know, kind of stupid question (looks away from embarrassment)
    HB5: I … huh? … probably 22?
Me: For real? (Stunned, making the same expression with the same thought again: “My barber is truly amazing.”)
HB5: How old are you? (turns towards me, ignoring the green light at the pedestrian walk)
Me: Almost 30 (from this point on, the "feel" from the previous encounter was fading)
HB5: Huh …. How old do you think I am?
    Me: I would guess 22
HB5: 20, but hey, in your case, it's better to look younger than older
    Me: agrees and blanks
HB5: filled in the blank and continued (I don't remember much from that point on. This is the first time I reached this stage.
    …
    …
    …
Me: how about we walk together a bit? (I noticed she seemed to need to be somewhere soon but didn't want to leave)
HB5: Is it fine for you to walk in the same direction?
Me: Yes, doing 10,000 steps and all. I'm doing that on top of my regular routine.
HB5: Oh, you're doing sports? (continued to talk about stuff I don't really remember, she filled the blanks)
    …
    …
    …
Me: Yes, actually, some guys around here told me I'm even looking dangerous and suspicious! (massive mistake, red flag)
HB5: I'm on my way to my roommate. He is a really tall guy, maybe 2m / 6'6 tall.
Me: … (smirks at that. “Unless he is buff, I can take him!”)
HB5: He is kind of really broad and muscular too (lmao, was she reading my thoughts?)
Me … (stops smirking. Trail of thought: “I'm not doing anything wrong here. If he starts anything, he better kills me." Silently nodding at my flawless logic)
HB5: … Who even told you this? (Didn't seem scared. More like testing me? Is this what you guys call frame?)
Me: That doorman at the low-end club over there (point in direction)
    HB5: …
Me: But that high-end club over there always lets me in! I'm leaving good money there too after all! (tried not to scare her away)
HB5: What are you doing for a living?
Me: … (Told her, maybe a bit downplayed. And redirected the topic back at her)
    …
    …
    …
Me: You probably need to go, right? How about we exchange numbers? (I was just about to justify it and get nervous, but luckily HB5 reacted right away)
    HB5: Sure
Me: (hands her my phone. Forgets to unlock it, followed by accidently putting up the dial numbers instead of contacts. My perceived value declining by the second, haha)
Me: … (takes it back like I was just handed 100k in cash. HB5 gave me a confused look. I made a test call to confirm the 100k was real and it went through. HB5 now looked slightly concerned)
Me (said goodby barely containing my biggest dopamine hit I had in … years? A decade?)
    NUMBER CLOSE! MY FIRST EVER!!!

I was so insanely euphoric, you experienced guys would probably die from laughing if you saw me. Practically like a kid on Christmas. Went full sprint, made some super Mario-style jumps. WAHOOO!! Lmao.

In that mental state I could probably easily get more numbers. People greeted me left and right, including women. My instinct, however, told me to back off for the day. So that was it.

Some things I gotta admit about HB5. She was from a very small village and is therefore used to talking with “strangers." She was alone too. This was practically easy mode.

Result: 1 (1 out of 10) … failed the week once more. But the first ever number close at a cold approach was archived!! It was subjectively my best performing day since I started this boot camp.

Part of me thought up till now that this was impossible. But proof of concept exists now in my mind. Even days later, the entry on my phone confirmed that I really did it. It will serve as motivation going onwards.

I have a bit to say about this. If a woman does not like you, or made her mind up in literally seconds that she doesn't, there's no telling how dramatic they'll make it out to be. The younger and hotter they are the WORSE it is. I strongly suggest more college 'esque' vibes or hangouts. You want the 20s crowd. Women who have been through a LITTLE bit to know what dangerous is and is not.

This has come up more than once. REALLY TAKE AN HONEST look at yourself and be factual and not emotional about said appraisal. You obviously weren't wearing a vibrat0r on your forehead, you probably don't have a bunch of sw@stikas tattooed on you, and you probably weren't wearing a hockey mask and holding a machete.

I've been in a mall before at age 22 to visit with a lady who was 18. She was accompanied by someone she'd just graduated HS with. This person introduced herself to me and I didn't shake her hand when she offered because I honestly didn't like her that much. She gave off "I'm a big deal, my parents have money, I'm the best because of that" vibes and I felt repulsed. Well, she starts talking to the chick I was meeting and saying things like "He's creepy, I don't like him, I'm going to report him to security if he stays." At that point I got PISSED. I was on military leave and I glared at her and said, "B1tch, guys like me PROTECT snobbish brats like you. YOU'RE WELCOME! Cause' I know there isn't a thankful bone in your body!" Then I glared at the chick I was meeting and said "I'm outta here. Fvck this."

You just never know man. You're honestly playing with fire a bit when it comes to anyone younger than I'd say 23 or so. Kudos to you for trying, but unless you 'young yourself down' to the trends they are used to and comfortable with, they probably won't like you or bare minimum even be receptive to you. Added up on top of all this, if you WERE even to try to do this they'd probably find it EXTRA WEIRD if they knew a guy your age was trying to fit into what they're doing.

If you MUST continue to try with the younger ones the ONLY approach I've found to be mildly successful is to be a 'brat tamer.' Focus on giving them the idea that you find them immature and be bold about it. My LEAST favored kink or dynamic of interest just happens to be 'pay pig' with 'brat tamer' being a close second. I don't get any pleasure out of it and find it annoying to boot. These types of women eat it up, but I get nothing out of it.

Stuff like "Why are you so hyper focused on me? I'm not for girls like you." or "OH... I see. You're one of THOSE. ---- Oh, come on; you're telling me you actually didn't grow up getting anything you wanted from mom and dad? --- I think you need a good ol' crack in the @ss. ---- You need a GOOD SPANKING." etc... But once again, I really don't condone this unless you can get to the point where you aren't creeping out groups of very young women.

I'd really focus on trying to figure out why that is. You weren't wearing a trench coat, chains and spikes, or black nail polish etc? I dunno man. These women seem creeped out by something. I'm really racking my brain here, but you'd know better than any of us. It's hard to believe that you've run game this many times and not gotten a modest handful of receipts.

Keep using these exercises as experiences to learn from. If I were in your shoes, the goals would be to 1. push yourself to become more confident, 2. pick up on the patterns so you'll become more calibrated.

I like the input from roadking. With that said, you have as much right to pursue what you want as the next person. Smooth seas don't make skilled sailors.

I just realized I forgot to read your second one! Congratulations on the number close. And it was her REAL number. Now you know you can get those. So it won't feel strange at all to ask for it going forward. Sometimes if someone is getting really flirty, I'll hand her my phone and say "show me!" to get her to google something we're talking about. I then "accidentally" forget she is holding it as I 'use the bathroom' or 'get another drink.' Since the 'power' is essentially in her hands and my phone OBVIOUSLY has female contacts in it, I ask her if she'd like something to drink. Most cases, this results in her sending herself a flirty message from my phone or from hers to mine or she adds herself to my phone. Of course that doesn't always work either.

Awwwww man! You were working that first group SO WELL! Too bad you backed up. With taller women, I make STRONG eye contact. I don't know what it is, but taller women really aren't afraid of stepping closer if they like you. It's a GOOD sign! I can understand the intimidation factor, but you should will yourself not to step back next time and enjoy the ride! Tall women are FUN. Went off on a tangent there....

I'm more concerned about the jerk you mentioned earlier. Guys like this pop up everywhere. It's usually because they're either jealous or they feel that you'll 'cramp their style.' I actually encountered one last night. A real pr1ck if ever I met one. He had to say something just about any time someone was being their elated selves. And it was targeted towards me and my lady. I was wearing my Kutte and we were at a VFW. I'm actually a veteran as well. Bonus points were that his lady kept making eyes at me. Not MY fault. hehehe

Almost ALWAYS a woman is involved. Even women who aren't there yet. This young dolt probably thought you'd be major competition and wanted to prod you until you left. What I do in situations like that is let them talk and be stupid. If he had more than words he'd be in your face or grabbing ahold of something you're wearing. BUT... if you DO stick around and he's been drinking, just be ready to rumble and be ready for a bit of pain and to show some rage. I've only had ONE instance like this where it got physical.

I've defused almost all of them by simply ignoring the idiot. It's obviously NOT reservation only. So I might just go "Hmm... THAT'S interesting." For other cases where someone keeps agitating to where you get the feeling they want trouble, I just say something direct and non threatening. Such as, "Unless you want to take me home, you can quit being a d1ck." "Being angry because you see me won't make you any less ugly." Those are the ones I WISH I could think of, but most of the time I just say. "I'm just here to ___, not to talk to arrogant a$$holes." Or if I'm p1ssed like you said you were, I would have just knocked one time on the bar, pointed at him and barked "Quit being a sh1t!" I've done those two and you'd be surprised just how pu$$y most men are when they get the feeling that they don't scare you and that you'll take things to the next step if they don't put a lid on what they're stewing up.

It's important to be able to stand up to other men, not change what you're doing because you're challenged. You made him uncomfortable with your presence. That's something to brag about and not something to feel intimidated by because of HIS reaction to what he didn't like. Fvcker.... I never met the guy and I want to smack that stoopid look off of his face. You didn't mention one, but I'll bet he had one!

“The 22 Psychological Triggers That Make Women Chase You… Starting Tonight”

Forget the cash, the cars, and the chiseled jawlines. Female desire operates on a completely different frequency. Primal. Subconscious. Triggers that bypass her logic and hit her on a gut level. Most guys are totally blind to them.

I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.

Then I decoded the psychology behind what actually makes women tick. 22 hard rules.  Subtle behavioral shifts that rewired my entire reality. The anxiety evaporated. Women started leaning in. Investing. Chasing.

Make sure you get a copy of Glovers book ‘no more Mr Nice Guy starting reading that as you go on along your journey.

And also a copy of Manuel J Smiths book ‘When I say No I feel guilty’ - an awesome assertiveness training book and manual.

2 very useful books and I highly recommend Smiths book in particular.

Oh GARSH.... The stripper market isn't one i'd recommend. hahahaha. I have had experience with strippers, but not the kind of experience one would typically expect. And yes. I'm a biker. Stripper 'tales' involve attempting to date, dating, getting engaged to, effing, and none of the above-ing. It's underwhelming. I promise. I also, from experience can tell you that you DON'T want to entertain a stripper.

@RoadKing_Rabbit, @Plinco

Thanks for the encouragement. It gave me some ideas.

And I wouldn't trust that Cheeky_James guy. He recommended a newbie to get wh0res first and go to another country to get even more wh0res. As an aspiring DJ, I won't touch anything this guy recommends.

Currently, I use Boot camp to measure my progress. The parts that resonate most with me are mainly from Pook. So I started using his full book as my baseline.

My progress may appear slow, but to me, it feels very fast. My starting point was just that low. Change is gradual.

Week 3 (Attempt 8)
  • Recovering from burnout
  • Staring at walls
  • Zoning out mid-conversation
  • Going through the motions

No attempts have been made.

Week 3 (Attempt 9)

part 1/2

Fully recovered.

Startet the day by going into the city with my friend, same guy I went climbing with last time. My hope was that he might make a good wing. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. All we did was look for clothes like some women. To his friends, I appeared like a Casanova chad. They seemed mad impressed with me, the more I told them ... despite the fact that I literally don't know ****.

As for him, he seemed to dislike how I “took over” his friend group in no time, which hit me as odd, because I assumed he was far above this social stuff.

It at least served as a warm-up for later in the day and I also needed to check if he was wing material or not to get some closure.

-------

Later in the day, arriving at Dumpster City like usual. Not sure if I mentioned it, but that city is closest to my town, so even if it's awful there, that's where I always go. Immigrants outnumber the natives and a crime rate that goes along with it. Air pollution and it smells weird. Decade-long construction sites everywhere. Even Google Maps chimps out sometimes. The mood is tense after the sun goes down.

It was Halloween, and that day in particular was wild. Hundreds of police officers and cars everywhere. Apparently, they are used to this, because later that night I even witnessed some kind of incendiary explosive. Flash of light that seems like the surroundings has suddenly gone dark, loud boom, shock wave. Followed by a flame that went 3 stories high. I thought, “Isn't this kind of bad? There will be a panic any second now …” People be like, “Haha it burns lmao, let's get closer and make a video."

Police and fire brigade rushes in looked like “business as usual, no big deal.”

There have also been a lot of regular fireworks and vandalism. I later read on the news the spot with “many unidentified men in black, throwing stuff at the police,” was also where I looked for women. If you're a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

But long story short, the police on the scene didn't give a sh1t about small stuff. This matters, because otherwise that day might not have ended as it did for me.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Week 3 (Attempt 9)

part 2/2

  1. Two HB8
My opener was inviting them into a club. They had an event going on and only let groups with costumes in. I didn't have one, so that's how I asked them. But they are both 15yo. Fck my life. So basically, this happened with police in proximity everywhere. Combined that with my opener, this could have been bad. Fortunately, the reaction was mostly positive, and I was able to smoothly disengage.
    Talking time: 30-60 seconds

  2. Two HB7
They lived kind of far away from me, a number close would have been pointless. So I opted for a basic conversation. It ended on a positive note, but it really was just superficial stuff.
    Talking time: 4-5 Minutes

  3. One HB5, two non-HBs
I tried to do a high-risk approach. One guy from a pickup forum in my country described it as “going in hard” with made-up authority. I must have gone completely insane to try this with police around everywhere of all places. I didn't call myself a “police officer” but acted that way, technically a grey zone as far as I know. It would be a serious crime otherwise.
Anyway, it was a home run by sheer luck.
HB5: “I can smoke here!!!”. (snapped instantly, drawing attention)
Me: “What would you do if they detained you?” (I had handled it like a genius, I'm honestly impressed with myself in that one.)
HB5: “FCK THE POLICE!!!” (Redirecting her anger to the police patrols)
Me: “damm, I like your reaction” (eye contact)
HB5: “THAT FCKERS CAN EAT SH1T!!” (What can the police do? Detaining a young woman?)
Me: “You tell them haha” (sits down next to her, while agreeing. The laugh was genuine)

Nerves of steel. After that, I talked about her costume, then some other more mundane stuff. This type of woman used to scare the sh1t out of me not too long ago. But that felt super easy. Either I'm naturally good at handling this type of woman or it was somehow easy mode?
Number close would probably have been possible, but it was me who lost interest. Her personality and extremely crude way of talking was just too much. 20yo HB6 if she dressed and talked more normally, but after getting her to know for like 5 minutes? I rate her a 4 …
    Talking time: 4-5 Minutes

  4. Two HB6
After succeeding with that insanely high-risk approach, guess what I did? Doing it again. This time going completely kamikaze. Inner city, close to a big police formation. I don't feel like going into details with that one, so I will keep it short. That way, it sounds less like a car crash in slow motion.
    Me: Stopping them
HB6: Playing along, but not entirely sold. We started walking and talked a bit.
HB6: For reasons I don't understand, she had her arm extended behind me
Me: …? (my mind: "Lets try some light kino!”)
HB6 Reaction: loud, shook, sexual harassment claim
My reaction all happened in less than a single second: I was surprised(for real), made a big step forward. Looked behind her like there was some animal after her. The other HB asks her “why are you screaming??(also looks behind her)." I was legitimately confused. I knew in the back of my head that it was because of me, but ignored it. Self-preservation. And thank god, she started to look confused too, questioning herself. Low-key gaslighting going on …
I was able to walk away scot-free. I acted like a passerby that got surprised by the same animal and continued walking only slightly faster than them. I kept this up until I was well out of range of any police or potential wannabe white knights. What helped tremendously was that she was only HB6, any higher, and I might not have been able to stay this calm.

This was by A MILE, my worst attempt so far. I was bound to experience this eventually, but I wished it happened later. I wasn't ready for this. My mood hit rock bottom, and I was heartbroken. I'm not this kind of guy. Even if I was, who would do so next to over 20 police officers and hundreds of people around? It's not going to happen. In hindsight, maybe she was signaling the police officer by extending her arm behind me. So maybe I got very, very lucky to bump mine into her and change the situation.

I had to sit down and question my life choices, close to a breakdown. It was the same bench I sat down on last week after failure. And just like last time, I was there, staring in the distance. Eventually I got a grip again and got up. Couldn't go home like this. “One more attempt, no matter what happens, NO KINO”
    Talking time 1-2 Minutes

  5. HB7, blonde, blue eyes, completely hammered, can barely walk. She was alone in a dark alley of the park, right in front of me. If this isn't some kind of joke by fate, I don't know what is.
She was walking unsteady, threatening to fall down the stairs.
Me: “Hey … Hey! … HEY!!!! Careful!”
    HB7: uhhh? …. uh? hahaha"
Me: “You alright? “How much did you drink?” (I continued to be a gentleman)
HB7: Annoyed, because I treated her like she was younger than me (which she is)
    Me: I'm like 30
    HB7: oh … (laughs slightly)
    …
    …
    …
HB7: "I'm totaaally finee"" (slurring her words)
Me: "I'm worried about you” (I genuinely was)
    …
    …
    …
HB7: (Hugs me, I got a boner. God surely must be testing me … but then)
HB7: (basically: “You are such a nice guy, let me friend zone you and tell you all about how men suck!”)
Me: (dominant gaze, petting her head without thinking)
HB7: ah? (stunned in disbelief, wide eyes)
HB7: hehehe (critical hit, hugs me again, but now kind of like I'm her dad)
HB7: and please stop glaring at me like that! … I'm really fine! (weird expression, more intense hugging)
HB7: uh … would you like my phone to write your number? (hands me her phone, acts like a little girl)

    Ok, what was this?
Red flag? Easy mode? Well played by me? Or perhaps by her? I lack the experience or reference points to tell.

In either case, I screwed up right at the end and gave her the wrong number by accident. HB7 checked, it didn't go through: “the cool ones always turn their phones off haha”(sounding a little sad). She handed me her phone again. I zoned out completely. I literally held her phone and stared at it blankly. Not a single thought in my head. I don't know how long, maybe one or two minutes. She eventually took it back and left.

I couldn't comprehend going from talking for two minutes to a possible instant lay. This seemed “too good to be true." Too “easy”

Even if I could go back, I wouldn't have tried a direct lay since she was drunk, and I was still heartbroken by that sexual harassment claim bullsh!t. This situation served to prove to myself who I think I am. It saved my day and probably more going onwards.

I should have taken the number tho … damm it.
    Talking Time 5-10 Minutes

  6. HB6,HB5, non-HB in Naruto costumes. It was right next to my parking spot. No other people nearby and late. My IQ was practically at room temperature at this point.
Me: Hi, are you German? (speaks in English for no reason)
HB6: (tells me she is from Moscow. She replied in English, but I didn't notice somehow.)
Me: CYKA BLYAT!! (Surprised and laughed, caught off guard, her friends fortunately didn't understand it .. probably. My memory is kind of fuzzy from that final attempt)

    …
    …
    …
Me: How is that lightning thing from Sasuke called again? (continues to speak in English. They think I'm from another country, while I think they are)
    HB6: You mean Chidori?
Me: CHIDORIII!!!! (poses dramatically, the suppressed emotions of 20 years as a weeb bursting out)
    HB6,HB5, non-HB: (laughing)
    …
    …
    …
Me: Do you speak German? (I now speak German while thinking in English. Starting from here. If it sounds like I was confused, that's because I was)
HB7: … (Explains to me that I started talking in English first, not hers. I didn't want to hear any of it.)
Me: "WOLLT IHR … DEN TOTALEN--!!!!! (I completely snapped, did the Nazi salute, sociopath expression. I cut myself off early but my voice echoed badly in the empty streets. It was the climax of the infamous Hitler speech.)
HB6,HB5, non-HB: HOLY ****!!!! (looked like they nearly got a heart attack. I sound and move like the real deal. On top, this is extremely illegal in Germany)

I'm good at impersonation. But definitely the first time I have done this in public. Could easily be “Incitement", since there are still more police than usual around at this time. At first, it was funny, but switched from being explosively expressive to zoning out. I went completely silent right after, screwing it up completely.

Despite the strong impression I started out with, it ended extremely bad and awkward.
    Talking time: 4-7 Minutes

Reflecting:

In summary, just one misunderstanding could have been one of the following charges:
  • Enticement of a Minors
  • Impersonation of law enforcement officer
  • Sexual harassment
  • Attempted rape
  • Vandalism
  • Incitement to hatred
I don't know anymore … I think my mistake was taking on a daredevil attitude? Did I go too hard? Should I have tried even harder? Am I just a complete blockhead? I never heard of a DJ or PUA messing up as often as I do. But one can only truly fail by either dying or giving up. The grind continues.

Result: 5 out of 10
