From yesterday, which I forgot in my initial writeup:

The first encounter in the gym, I did my warm-up and went to the area for my first workout. Straight after, I did see an HB7; she was doing some not-so-ordinary stretching. Eye contact → Smile → Wave → Critical hit; she smiles back and even laughs.

Now, I could have talked with her straight away easily … but choked.

“It's fine; I just do my first lift, and after that I walk back to her.” I finished my lift in record time … aaaand she was gone. ****.

After that, my mood went from alright to bad. I was very disappointed in myself.

Learned/reflecting:
  • As my mood went bad and was no longer viable after that choke, I should have just taken a moment to calm down and reset
  • The 3-second rule would be key, but it's difficult to put into practice for me. I should actively aim for what more.

Week 3 Day 3 (Saturday)

Today was pathetic in every way.

I studied the guide way more carefully and wrote it off to my notes. To make sure I really hammered it in, I also made a flowchart out of it.

It wasn't enough… I scrambled the words in my mind again and again.

After some staring at my screen, I stood up to do some practice dry runs by imagining a Christmas tree in the storage room as an HB.

Unbelievably, I choked over and over again. Am I actually mentally retarded? I GOT SCARED OF TALKING TO A CHRISTMAS TREE (this bootcamp will get me in a mental asylum at this rate…). I repeated it again and again; it sounded a bit robotic as I was done, but it was better than the alternatives to what happened yesterday.

My only success so far talking to attractive women for more than 2 minutes was in week 2 at the club. Despite me just saying not too long ago, “Clubs are overrated,” I went there due to lack of knowing of any better options.

The main issue of Week 3: "Now, for this week, we are going to hold conversations with strangers, but this time the strangers will
be women we would consider dating
"

Like the other day, I walked through it, but this time I got there too early; I forgot clubs only open late … I walked around for 4 hours. All I have seen was mostly Middle Eastern and mixed ancestry. I don't have anything against anybody, but it's a matter of personal preference. What I was looking for was women of my country and similar ones like France, Italy, and so on. That type has been one of the following:
1) in big groups of 5-10 or even more
2) of questionable age … 16yo is legal here, but after what happened the other day, I really wasn't feeling it
3) They had been in groups of 2-3 but have been like 1,83m(6'0").

Surely there had been at least some within my strike zone, which I passed, but I couldn't tell because they all had so much makeup on; they felt more like a drawing to me than a person. To me it seemed they adopted this trend due to the original population now being almost a minority in this specific city... Arabs and Turks seem to be really into women that put bucket loads on their faces. If at least it was well done, like the magic that Asians do, but it looked so unnatural to me … turned me off a lot.

Some Arab guys, a group of 20-30 dressed in dark clothes, had some wannabe escalation going. Police cars and cops running to the scene. To me it looked like a school fight ("Can't be the cause of this much police"); didn't see any knives either. I went straight through not realizing I was within the scene (lol). Police have been rushing in, and I was like, “Don't mind me, just passing through.” What a sad state for a society …

After that clubs are about to open and the first one told me I was “suspicious and dangerous looking", didn't even know how to react …

Second club was the "exclusive" one I was last time at, with my first success so far. I forgot they had a dress code. Somehow the door guy remembered me and told me, “Sorry … just dress like you did last time did and I can let you in”. That was a real bummer, but at least he was somewhat sympathetic.

And right next to me, OF COURSE, I had to meet that one Guy from my old gym which also knows me from work. This is truly unbelievable, here I am, going out of my way to no be recognized and meeting someone of my little town in such a way.

After that I was calling it a day.

I went to the parking garage and forgot to pay for my ticket, blocking all the other people from driving out. So I did run in again to pay for it and let me out. And WHATS THIS? Crossed paths with an HB7-8 in a group with 2 … FINALLY … but I had to get back fast; otherwise I might get in trouble with the staff. To be fair, chances are I would have choked anyway, since my mood was down to much at this point.

“Let's just go home …” Again, lots of stress and effort with nothing to show for it ...

Learned/reflecting:

  • Probably should go to another city for clubbing that has more women within my strike zone, even if it's a bit longer to drive to.
  • Or maybe I should just stick with the gym and other sports locations. So far 1 hour in the gym has usually more HB7+ than 5-6 hours of actively searching in that one city.
  • Or maybe I should try to change gears completely … maybe including churches? Originally I was Christian, and I still believe God exists one way or the other; I'm just not convinced enough that any religion got it right all the way. I think it would be fine morally speaking to go to such places to "find my faith". Wouldn't even call it plausible deniability since it's kind of true.

This blows … if Week 3 exercise was about talking to just 10 women that other people within their respective social circles would find attractive, I could surely bruteforce it.

Issue being, I wouldn't <consider dating> any of them; they're not my demographic.

I declared I would follow the bootcamp “to the letter,” which I will … but I'm starting to lose hope of completing this week by the given timeline.

If anyone has any practical advice, I would appreciate it.
Analysis paralysis. When you see an opportunity, stop overthinking it and just act.

Also, it's fine to make friends at the gym, but I wouldn't recommend interacting with women there without another motive.

Week 3 Day 7 (Wednesday)

I failed week 3 due to incompetence. Total score reached 0/10

There have been some circumstances, like having a cold and recovery not keeping up with my routine, but I should have at least gotten one or two before this happened. I stayed home for the last few days to recover while taking care of work-related issues.

Got all the urgent work-related stuff done, and my health should be back on track soon.

I will start my second Week 3 attempt tomorrow.

Week 3 Day 2 (Attempt 2)

I had a bad day at work. Usually I don't do this, but I did some alcohol to reset emotionally. It did just that, but a headache followed. Probably not worth it.

I went out of my way to drive to another big city, about 40 minutes away.

That city was radically different from the other one more nearby to my town, very high-end in every way. It doesn't even compare.

What was very nice had been people being far more relaxed compared to the city I was at before. I felt my body tension decreasing, similar to being on vacation. A big city with a rural feel to it was a first for me.

But most noticeable was that I did see almost only 20-30-year-olds, even the people running the businesses. An insane amount of HB7-9 were present. I could have spun around randomly and would have had one in front of me. The imposing part was that man everywhere on this level too. Definitely the first time I have ever been at a place like this.

I got flustered by this oddity and did some research on the spot. The specific area within that specific city had, like, all universities far and wide concentrated in it. On top of that, the purchasing power per person is far higher compared to the country average.

Flustered as I was by the scene, I couldn't decide if this was good or bad. Aside from the attractive women everywhere, I have never seen so many imposing guys in one place too.

As I felt increasingly overwhelmed, I decided to wait for the clubs to open. This turned out to be a mistake. The demographic changed dramatically at 0:00. Suddenly middle east and bums everywhere.

I still went to the clubs as planned, but this was even more of a let down.

#1 Club smelled like piss and smoke; I think the ventilation was only decoration, very low-end. The people in there are a bunch of 16-20yo. Probably even on the rich side, wanting to have the “poverty” experience. I don't get it.

#2 Club mid-range establishment, but HB5-6 at most. Bummer. No way am I digging through the dirt after just seeing hot women everywhere just hours ago.

I tried to make this day not a total waste of time by walking through the city again, but it was no use. The demographic had completely changed for the worse.

Reflecting:

  • Waiting because you expect an even better opportunity is dumb. I should have just changed plans on the spot. It's a flaw of mine to be very inflexible.
  • Next, I consider ditching clubs altogether. So far this has been one disappointment after the other. But I need more experience to get the bigger picture. Need to test different days in different cities.
  • Driving 2x40 minutes for this might be dumb too (lol). Even if the location is extremely particular. The final goal of dating would be made unnecessarily difficult by logistics … probably (I lack the experience to be able to tell, so it's just a guess)
But man … this place is like all the stories having somehow only a specific age range and very attractive population to appeal to people. It was very interesting to experience this in real life. Ngnl, I got there for the women but stayed (got distracted) for the novelty.

Week 3 Day 3 (Attempt 2, Saturday)

I was hesitant to go out, but I had a sudden impulse that made me get up and "just do it”

First location was a dud, an event with rides, but it was intended for kids, as there was no "scary" stuff. It was still fairly early, but waiting would have been pointless. I moved on.

Back at home getting ready. Then trying to decided between the the high-end club in the nice city I was at from yesterday or the high-end club in the trashy city im usually at because its closer.

I really didn't feel like spending over an hour total in the car today, so I went with the closer city.

I beelined for the club straight after arriving. Got told my white shirt sucks, because of the other door guy, who didn't know me and "muh exclusive." But I was prepared; I had another shirt (which actually sucked) and was let in.

Now in the club it was nothing like last time, packed with people and also a lot of HB6-9, but also with the same quality of man around. Same club, same day; the only difference was a slightly later time of about 30 minutes, if any.

Just like yesterday, I got flustered again as my expectations have been way off. But this time instead of freaking out, I got myself something to drink and did some silent pep talk to myself. “It's only talking for 2 minutes!”

  • #1 attempt: I was sitting at the counter, 2 HB6s close to me, as it has been very packed with people. They kind of waited almost in my personal space. First I made eye contact and chocked, but then I pulled my self together and managed to say something
    Me: Hi (hesitating)
    HB6: Hi … ?
Me: What's your name? (Almost forgot what I was going to say)
    HB6: <Her name>
    Me: <initiating handshake with palm upwards at an angle> H..i … <her name> … nice … to … meet … you … my name is … <my name> …
(my eyes must have clearly showed that I'm thinking hard)
HB6: Uh … (handshake, out of habit)
Me: Where … are you from?
    HB6: From the parking lot?
Me: I mean, are you from <current city>?
I was aware that I already messed up completely at this point, and I was trying to get to 2 minutes anyway. I tried asking about what she is doing (college/work), but she was done. I was just running the lines, and it must have shown brutally.
The real ****ty part was there was a big guy sitting right next to me, which I didn't notice, possibly her boyfriend. He did some kind of hugging/pulling her away/putting his arm between me and her. I also did say hi to him to make it clear I wasn't scared, just in case he considered any dumb ideas. He looked at me but didn't say anything. Good thing I'm looking decently strong myself, but my nerves have been fried from the girl anyway. I went upstairs since it's calmer there to get myself something to drink and cool down.
    Talking time: 30 sec

  • Random guy: Hey, aren't you <my name> from <my hometown>? I know you're Mom and you since …
    Me: haha … (dead inside)

  • #2 attempt: Going down again nearby the dance floor. HB6-7, but she did smoke, which for me is a no-go; technically it wouldn't have counted anyway for that reason. All I had on my mind at that time was “talk for 2 minutes.” So I tried, just like the first attempt, same flow, same mistakes. The only difference was she seemed more bored than annoyed.
    Talking time: 30 seconds

  • Random guy: We know each other … from PP Town. I'm the witness of your very first screw-up.
(He didn't say the last part, but before I started this bootcamp, I actually tried an approach that ended "impressively" in various ways.)
    Me: Oh …
Random guy: Funny meeting each other here, let's make a selfie!
    Me: Sure (dead inside)

  • #3 attempt: Did not happen. The illusive HB10. If I have ever seen one, subjectively this was it. She was the first I did already see hours ago. I had eye contact a couple of times, but her presence alone felt intimidating. Mediterranean facial features, vibrant appearance, and delicate build (Italy, Greece) but with Nordic height, golden hair, and radiant blue eyes. It didn't make sense. She had a red dress and her hair up in a bun. This club was high-end, but she was still out of place. Had something about her like a stereotypical princess or royalty. At my length of stay, I did look at her about 3 times; every time she seemed to notice, she looked away with unreal elegance and smiled like it was amusing. Logically speaking, I might have even had a chance. Most other women I tried to look at made it pretty clear if they had no interest.
I couldn't help feeling unworthy of her. And then there was also the issue of her being in a group of 2-4 other girls and one man. Most of the time, she only had 1 person with her; she also seemed slightly indifferent and detached from everything around her.
That one man was a bit taller than me, but I had a better jawline and a better physique. I say my overall looks could compare.
This really infuriated me. WHY? I'm better than him …
Skill: <Pep Talk> “Ok, you got this, LET'S GO!!!” + <Mental Gymnastics>"She is HB10, so that guy is a 10 too. I can compare to that guy, so I'm a 10 too!! Now the odds are even! LETS GOO!!!"
She is about to leave. Conveniently, the traffic stops on the stairs in such a way that I'm now straight in front of her. Conveniently, I got the high ground since I'm coming from upstairs. And most conveniently, her group moved on already, and they are now a couple of seconds ahead.
This is as good as it gets.
Eye contact ... <She again looks at me and away, then at a mirror at me, and away again elegantly while slightly smiling> ... MUST SAY SOMETHING ... <Direct eye contact again briefly> Can't do it → My eyes went down, avoiding hers, my head went down too, and my shoulders followed … Choke … the one I regret the most so far.

  • Random Guy: I seat myself in a corner, zoning out, staring at the melting ice cubes of my vodka that was actually tonic water. A sharply dressed man with a shiny bald head approached me and shook my hand. Before I could process what was going on, he wanted to sell me a website for my business.
Me: I don't understand … do you know me? How do you even know I got a business but no website?
Man: We don't know each other.
Me: But then how … ? Do you just go around in a nightclub asking people if they need websites or what?
    Man: It's a coincidence.
    Me: Coincidence? Haha …
Man: Yes … now give me your number … (felt like I was actually going insane.)
Downed my glass and went straight home.

No reflecting, just ranting:

  • Screw the "Pimpologist"; if he is still on this forum, someone tell this guy his stuff doesn't work, especially in night game. If anyone were smooth or handsome enough to make this work, he wouldn't need it.
  • WHY had the compiler Nicholas Hill even included this bull****? Even the man himself says, “We as DJs don't use pickup lines.” SO THEN WHY?
  • I initially skipped the more theoretical part, because for me this seemed too complicated to put in practice. But I REALLY tried to. At one point, I said, “Nice to meet you…” to a Christmas tree like a hundred times, to the point I was mumbling it randomly during the day like a lunatic. Yet this turned out to be bullshido, get in a real fight and don't remember anything.
Guys, don't get me wrong, but “Master” DJs are clearly not equal.
I followed everything like a religious zealot.
There are parts that brought me success, like Pook, Surfboard, Take No Dirt and Meathead.
And then there is the "Pimpologist," basically a PUA in a guide that is about being a DJ.
My only mistake was assuming that all sections and articles are equally weighted. For example, Pook's advice is clearly several times better than most other parts of this guide.
  • AND WHY DO I KEEP MEETING PEOPLE THAT KNOW ME? WTF? I'm from a small town in the woods. Literally NOT ONCE in my life have I met anyone I know in any gym I frequent, NOT EVEN IN MY OWN TOWN!!!!
Frustration, genuinely questioning my life choices.
(rant over)

  • I don't know anymore ... bars probably aren't much different from clubs either, and I don't like alcohol. Week 3 is to speak with any attractive women for just 2 minutes. Clubs that constantly supply dopamine are possibly more difficult. Maybe more daygame now. At this rate I lose my momentum and become desperate instead. I learned by now that this is the one thing that must not happen.
  • It occurred to me much later, but if there is a group of women that has only one man with them, wouldn't it be really easy to just talk to the man first? I'm naturally good at getting on men's good side. This seems very easy in my mind. Being overly straightforward makes me popular with the guys consistently, but it's also the reason why I'm here making a fool out of myself with women.
  • I'm being honest … I'm struggling hard. Rehab from a dramatic accident wasn't as painful as this is, and getting out of debt didn't give me as much burnout as this currently does. Not even close to giving up, though.
