"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

I'm in college and my dorm house is having a "dinner with the deans" night where we're supposed to dress formal and eat and meet the deans or whatever. I don't know HOW this will help me but I'm sure having connections and making a good impression can help you somehow...anyways, I was just wondering if you guys had any tips or anything like that. Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

We did that at my school. I made sure to get the seat right next to the head honcho. I made an effort to know about him before hand and ask questions about him. When he got up, I stole his chocolate cake.
