Well, if you read my last "date report" you know that it was rather bad.
I met another girl on a singles site and we chatted for a while. I got her number in a few minutes, but haven't had time to call her.
I ran my car into a tree (long story, tree fell in front of me), so I wanted to obliterate the day with some alcohol. Well, I was chatting with her during this plan and got way too intimate. I re-read my messages the day after and was rather shocked at what I said..heh. Anyways, we decided to meet eacother.
Driving down to her town, I pick her up at Applebee's. At this point, I was a little nervous and could feel the tiny beads of sweat accumulating on my forehead. I used my humor to tone things down a bit. We drove around aimlessly for a little bit, looking for a coffee shop. Eventually, we found one. We both got a mocha and proceeded to sit down.
For some reason, when you think of *what* to say, you end up not saying much. So, I just stopped thinking and started talking.
The vibe in the coffee shop wasn't so hot, so I looked at her..."Wanna go for a drive?" She agreed.
We drove around for an hour or so...making conversation, laughing, etc. It was fun to say the least.
She was wide awake and we decided it would be fun to go bowling. After another hour of trying to find the damn bowling alley..we eventually arrive. Walk inside and it looks like all the lanes are taken. The guy helping us was rather funny. He kept telling us, "I'm a paranoid employee! Don't look at me!" So, I covered my eyes and asked him for two adults. He responded by saying that all the lanes are taken and we could come back for cosmic bowling. Well, that was an hour away, so that plan was scrapped.
Something funny happened, however. When we walked in, he was helping this one girl. When I walked up to counter, he stopped talking to her and started helping me. The other girl said, "So, you just move onto another customer without finishing?" He goes back to her side, points to me and says, "well...he's better looking." That was a rather nice confidence boost. I looked at her and she had that shocked, funny look on her face..."I can't believe he just said that!!" I smiled at her and continued on...
Anyways, long story short...the "date" went well and she wants to come up to my crib for dinner/movie. I think she even suggested it. However, I have a different plan in mind....a drive to the coast at night!
Perhaps I'm getting back into my groove...
TP out...
