From my understanding, women are attracted to men who partake in these dangerous or exiting hobbies. For example surfing, motorbike riding, boxing/fighting, or any full contact sport or extreme sport.

Are they attracted to the risk taking?

If a man should value himself would putting his body on the line contradict this?

Or is it simply a case of having passion for something regardless of whether it's generally considered 'boring' or 'exciting' is the key?

If you have to consider doing dangerous sports because of female attention and not from a love of the thrill you are doomed to failure...

If you get to a relationship, it will work against you in your relationship.

It only attracts women when you are tops in your discipline. As soon as you do fail in an aspect of it and become injured or incapacitated the attractiveness of it drops IMMEDIATELY.

In order to excel at something dangerous that pursuit has to come BEFORE female validation. Hence why it is attractive to women...

No, they actually did some research into this. Chris Canwell from Atomic Attraction claims it's in their DNA, in their reptilian brain, to be attracted to men who do extreme sports. It's a caveman thing. You need some good genes to go paragliding or mountain climbing. You sure need a good fysique to be any good at boxing or whatever.

Personally I don't know about this. I'm not doing any extreme sports, am afraid of heights and scream like a little girl when a wasp flies too close to my face and no woman thinks I'm any less of a man. I don't need to jump from an airplane to get a woman to like me.

However, I do understand why women are attracted to star football players or other famous sportsmen. They have fans and therefor they are leaders. This is attractive. This has nothing to do with risk taking in extreme sports ofcourse.

You don't really need good genes to do a lot of those things, you just need to have a certain level of disregard for your own safety and well being or recklessness. Most of those things aren't overly athletic, just mostly dangerous.

My perspective as a woman...

It is not the necessarily the dangerous job or hobby a man does. Compare a more feminine man with a highly masculine man, in the same sport. Both may be highly skilled and passionate about it, however the vibe they will radiate while doing it will still be worlds apart. They both may gain respect, while only one will inspire desire in women.

Women are innately attracted to masculine men, who radiate self assuredness and confidence.

For some men, engaging in a particular sport or job helps them to connect even more fully or deeply into their masculine essence, self assuredness and confidence.

It’s who the man is
(who he is being in the process, not what he is literally doing), when he is radiating (masculine essence, self assuredness and confidence) that is so intensely attractive to women.

Add on such men displaying passion (and again it’s who they are being vs what they are doing) and women’s attraction rises even more.

Take a man radiating/being those characteristics and wherever he goes women will feeeeeel his presence, and thus notice him and...

If you have a passion for risky stuff, that’s one thing. Or if you genuinely want to learn some hobby/activity that carries some risks, that’s fine too.

But purposely putting yourself in harm’s way just to impress women? That’s pointless.

Follow your real passions regardless of how dry or exciting they are to others.

I agree, but this is what those researchers concluded.I think it's a load of bs to be honest

sociopaths love risk taking activities. they can't help it. And (some) girls love sociopaths.

mayb if your not a natural sociopath, its best to try and get girls who don't like sociopaths. cuz that's u being u.

There's a difference in being reckless and calculating danger statistically.

I like extreme sports, particularly rock climbing and bouldering. But I take proper measures to ensure my safety.

I've been big into rock climbing and motorcycles in the past. Both activities landed me women. I really don't think that the "risk taking" side of it comes into play at all unless the guy doing it is at the top of his sport, and then it's not the risk taking that she's attracted to, it's his drive to excel as @2Rocky said.

Rock climbing, you only really meet women who are also into the same activity. It attracts a certain kind of person. Almost everyone who is seriously into climbing tends to be the hippy/dirtbag/stoner type. The only way it helps you get women is to have a really toned body with very powerful forearms (forearm porn is a thing among women).

Motorcycles are very different. I equate this one more with boat ownership. I think most women participate in this because they see it as a chance to show off (because god DAMN a woman's butt looks good on the back of a bike). I have literally had female friends tell me that women's roles on a boat is to act as eye candy.

As for the excitement for something regardless of boring or exciting, I doubt stamp collectors or historians get much action because of their chosen hobbies.

I have a serious hobby that is dangerous. Many a woman has told me it makes their panties wet watching me participate in it.
It's the thrill, being front and center, my confidence, and my passion I display that creates the attraction. Women have always been
attracted to risk takers.

So if a man is really passionate about ballet and dances; and another is not really passionate about ice hockey but plays it, the former man is sexier and makes women horny?

In my experience, being the lead singer/guitarist/frontman of a rock band will get you more women too. It conveys to them you're confident, a risk taker, arty, creative, individual as well as able to express your emotions (in a good way) and stir up the emotions of those who like your music. All of these are attractive traits to women.

That said, don't become a musician solely to get women. Do it for the love of playing music, and the women will be a nice little extra bonus here and there.

Are you joking?
The answer is neither, in that case.

Passion is an amplifier.
Without the foundation there is no desire present to amplify.

Thus neither.

Different women are attracted to different things. You'll simply attract a different class of women depending on what you do in life. A riskier hobby will increase the chances of finding a yolo partner, and a safer hobby will have you finding it's equivalent, like a kinky bookworm.

You can do things for the social aspect of it, but if you do things only for the female attention then you're living a hollow life, out of codependency.

Your first love should always be your passion. It should challenge you more than anything else in life by many magnitudes, including any woman. Women are meant to be a joyous break from your passion.

Let me break it down and simply.

You said its the man who is in the process when he is radiating confidence that women get intensely attractive that they lose all control, not what he is literally doing,

My question is: if the man is doing Ballet with extreme confidence and assuredness, it that intensely attractive to women?

Understood, but the problem is that passion can’t be faked. Talent can’t be faked either.

If you force yourself to do something you have no passion for (because it’s sexier to women), you will burn out, ie get sick of it.

If you force yourself to do something you have no talent for (just to impress women), you aren’t going to “shine” at it (and attract attention) anyway. You’ll work your azz off to be mediocre at best.

there is little to no risk of death or being sent to prison, from being a talented ballet dancer. she can't, "nooooo its too dangerous!!!!"her ballet dancing boyfriend, In the same way she'd do with her boyfriend who likes to drive way over the speed limit (and knows he won't get caught or that anything bad will happen to them), sell illegal drugs to make a living, steal valuable possessions etc.
