Agreed, the man that does the housework gives a subtle message to his woman that he is not man enough to make her do it, which plays on her subconscious, making her less attracted to him. Now with that said, he should be "manning up" and taking care of paying the bills and doing the taxes, etc., taking care of the yard, disposing the trash, maintaining the auto fleet, etc., which should be about the same amount of time & effort that the little lady should be doing in her domestic duties of cooking & cleaning.

It's more likely to be correlation than causation.

A woman who will look at you after dinner and say, "It's your turn to do the dishes," is the same type of woman who will be more likely to file for divorce. I think it's a sense of entitlement that is the culprit. A woman who demands that housework be divided exactly evenly has a very idealized concept of marriage in the first place. There's likely a lot of other unrealistic fairly tale conceptions about marriage in her head, and no mortal husband is going to be able to fulfill them all.

All the men I knew which shared the house duties with their wives were leftist, acceptful of feminism and more than willing to fight(verbally) for anyones right except for theirs.

They were the same kind of men who would reproach you to dare to say that in your own home you have no right to use lethal force to an intruder under any condition.

Being unable to be the man in their own home is not the disease for such men, it's simply a symptom of a bigger cancer.
Being unmanly was just a face of the problem, they simply fail to follow the lines that nature draw for them.
They are more interested into being accepted and complimented on their moral than increse their condition and seize wealth and prosperity.

I have much more respect for a red neck with a 20 IQ who in his corner lives according to mature nature and logic than one of those "progressist men" who challenge common sense and nature anywhere except their job.

Strangely those same men tend to do good in their job and have a cultural and intellectual level above the average.

I guess the problem is that they fit too much into modern society and are the ones who are brainwhased the most.

I'm a little surprised by the results of this study actually. I wouldn't think running a vacuum across the floor once in a while would cause your wife to lose attraction for you.

I wonder if the results are somewhat skewed by stay at home housewives? Obviously they should do the housekeeping chores and may lack the financial means to divorce so readily.

I also wonder if it might indicate that the male is not keeping up his more traditional maintenance-type duties around the house. When you consider the male is responsible for such things (like auto care, lawn care, replacing windows, etc), he shouldn't really need to engage in half the housework. If he does, it may show a willingness to be hen pecked instead of sticking up for himself.

If this takes place in Norway I wonder if it's skewed since a good portion of the marriages where housework is not equally shared are Islamic and Eastern European homes which have lower divorce rates for reasons other than housework.

I don't know if the guys in here have ever lived with a wife or long term but I have with both several times and I've found that the cleaner I am around the house the more I get laid. So I look at this like I do all sociological studies. With a grain of easily wiped up salt.
