Christmas gift indecision

So, I'm wrapping up the Christmas shopping and am not sure how much to spend on a woman I've been seeing exclusively for almost 5 months.

Just to put the relationship in context, it's very good, I'm pleased with just about everything regarding this woman and the relationship may very well last a long time.

That said, I've purchased the toys that we'll use together (sports & sound equipment ...), but I think it may be time for something a bit girly.

I had earrings in mind.
The problem is, I can't buy her cosmetics as she is quite affluent and works with very wealthy clients.

It's not a personal money issue but I fear there are fine lines between cheap, generous and down right chumpy when it comes to spending money on a relationship this young.

What would you spend?

Any opinions would be appreciated.

its not what you spend. its what you spend on. listen to your woman, ask her what she got over the last few years and by listening to what she says, she will indicate or at least go over the gifts that she wanted.

Pandora bracelets are really "in" this Christmas. You can get something nice for under $200 and can customize it with charms that may have "meaning" for her.

Or you can spend up to $3000. Very versatile gift if she's into it.

1, something stupid and childish, i.e. favourites sweets candy from when she was a kid

2, something girly, bath oil, something she will pamper herself with (ask other women on this one)

3 the main event....opera tickets, theatre or something that really means hardcore to her

I've been with mine for three months and I'm spending around fifty bucks on her. For girly stuff, I got her a fluffy pillow and some candles. I'm also making her a home video of me being funny and throwing in some old clips of myself in there. If there's one thing I encourage my women to do, it's obsess over me when I'm not around. A home video is perfect for that.

I'm surprised you weren't told to "accidentally" forget to get her a gift, and then if she calls you on it, make an evasive, ****y and funny remark.

Seriously, the earrings sound like a good idea. Not sure what a nice pair goes for these days though. Go find a pair you think she'd like and see what they cost. That should give you some idea. Maybe tell the salesperson in the jewelry store how long you've been seeing her, so you don't want to spend more than would be appropriate.
On the other hand, if she's well off as you say, she may have expensive tastes.

I opted against throwing cash at the girlie gift and instead did something a bit creative (photo album with all the pictures of us thus far). I think my testicles actually shrunk while doing it, but at least I didn't have the cash risk (chump/spoil the girl/uncomfortable girl - unequal gift...).
