"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

so for weeks on end... now my ex(i caused the break up) has been slowly initiating contact with me then it turned into everyday Hot contact from her

then it was to meet up and we met up

we had a great time she even APOLOGISED for things shed done which was amazing tbh something shed never done

so my time of inactions and indifference had clearly worried her

THEN ****HEAD HERE GOES STRAIGHT BACK INTO PURSUE MODE PLANNING GOOD NIGHTS

and shes still there but gone totally gone flakey as ****

its like everything id learnt went straight out the window and i went into autopilot,

back to no initation

just needed to vent

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

You were supposed to f*ck her again and then maintain the upper hand.

Did you at least f*ck her again?

Since you f*cked her again, she won't be able to forget you as fast. So you can back off for a few weeks and she'll still come back. You must wait her out. Make her think you used her and don't want her anymore.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

You can get away with it since you had sex. If you hadn't had sex and this happened, it would be over forever.

Definitely cease contract until she reaches out.

I think you need to focus on self improvement. The next time she sees you, you need to demonstrate that you improved. Lose weight, get a tan, detox, fast, get a new job, etc.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

ignoring unless she initiated worked a treat i just went back into "resolve mode" like an adult and its totally backfired on me...

however on the positive note this time a month ago she hoped id die and i was blocked from all contact

i am now unblocked on all formats and we were communicating brilliantly and in a much more adult manor this last week

i will now resume the no initiation again

Need to stop spreading your toxic thinking Neil
I rule this site and you know it.

Sure, getting laid is a terrible, awful thing to go through. Thanks so much for your Sex Prevention Service.

I'm so disappointed I f*cked her again. I'm so disappointed I made her orgasm again and felt her gushing and felt the juice dripping down her thigh. I'm so disappointed that I realized I don't love her as much as before, and that I would just assume date the new model. I'm sad that I have the upper hand now. I'm sad the power flipped back in my favor. Why should anyone be made to suffer this way?

Don't be hard on yourself for slipping up one day.

You skip the gym today, you can make the decision to hit it hard tomorrow.

You relapse today, you can make the decision to abstain tomorrow.

You let a toxic ex back in your life today, you can go strict no contact tomorrow.

It's never too late to be brand new. It's always one decision away.

However, despite some poor advice to the contrary already given in this thread, do NOT let any of your actions be dictated by how your ex may or may not respond. Do not make decisions based on trying to make your ex miss you or want you back, that defeats the point of dumping her. Doing well, being emotionally self-sufficient, and being genuinely happy in itself will accomplish those things. But you will be making decisions for you in this case and not her. Your life and the decisions made within it should revolve around you and not some random broad.

Unless you have kids, any rationalization you have to contact her (especially for sex) is just harming yourself. There is no personal victory in conquering something you've already conquered, it just proves an inability to move on and lack of self-value.
